Scenic Safaris, a tour company owned by Forever Resorts LLC, announces its roster of tours in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park for the 2014 – 2015 winter season. Scenic Safaris offers tours via snowmobile, snowcoach and luxury van—all of which offer unforgettable ways to experience the winter grandeur of these world-famous parklands.  Scenic Safaris tours include:

Yellowstone National Park – Snowmobile Tour (Full Day)
Guests on this thrilling snowmobile tour may choose an itinerary including either Old Faithful or the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, enjoying wildlife-spotting, majestic waterfalls and thermal features along the way. Breakfast, lunch and snacks, as well as boots, helmets and snowmobile suits are provided. Driver’s licenses are required for snowmobile drivers and passengers must be age 6 or older. This tour departs from Teton Village, Teton Pines, Spring Creek, Amangani and Jackson between 6 and 7 a.m. and returns between 6 and 7 p.m. Cost: $325 for drivers Dec. 15 – Jan. 4; $295 for drivers Jan. 5 – March 15; $175 for adult riders; $150 for child riders ages 6-12.  Tours run Dec. 15, 2014, through March 15, 2015.

Yellowstone National Park – Snowcoach Tour (Full Day)
Explore the spectacular scenery and wildlife of Yellowstone from the comfort of a new luxury snowcoach on this all-day, all-ages tour. Scenic Safaris uses purpose-built Hagglund snowcoaches, which are unique to Yellowstone and completely state-of-the-art. Designed specifically for oversnow travel, each snowcoach utilizes energy-efficient diesel fuel. The 12-passenger vehicle offers comfortable seating and large windows and trained guides discuss the park’s geological and historical points of interest. This tour includes stops to view thermal features and other scenic and historic spots. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Gros Ventre Wildlife – Snowmobile Tour (Full Day)
Excellent for wildlife enthusiasts, this tour offers participants a thrilling day on a snowmobile and the chance to spot elk, moose, coyote, big horn sheet and bald eagles. This tour includes stops to view thermal features and other scenic and historic spots. Lunch and snacks, as well as boots, helmets and snowmobile suits, balaclava and hand warmers are provided. This tour departs between 7 and 7:30 a.m. from Teton Village, Teton Pines, Spring Creek, Amangani and Jackson and returns between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Cost: $230 for drivers; $130 for adult riders; $110 for child riders ages 6-12 and $50 for children under 6 (children under 6 permitted, but not recommended).  Tours run Dec. 5, 2014, through March 25, 2015.

Togwotee High Mountain – Snowmobile Tour (Full Day)
Start 30 miles north of Jackson and ride the high plateaus and canyons of this winter sport Mecca. Enjoy stunning views of the Grand Tetons (weather permitting) and off-trail riding in powder. Guests are encouraged to ride solo on this tour. Lunch at a restaurant and snacks are provided, as are boots, a helmet, one-piece snowmobile suit, gloves, balaclava and hand warmers. This tour departs between 7:30 and 8 a.m. from Teton Village, Teton Pines, Spring Creek, Amangani and Jackson and returns between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Cost: $230 for drivers; $130 for adult riders; $110 for child riders ages 6-12. Children under 6 not permitted.  Drivers must be 14 years of age or older. Tours run Dec. 1, 2014, through Apr. 5, 2015.

Teton Half-Day Tour
Start at the base of the Grand Tetons, 30 miles north of Jackson. Enjoy superb scenery with views of the Teton Range (weather permitting) on this half-day snowmobile tour, perfect for first-time snowmobilers or guests who want to spend part of their day on the ski slopes. Total tour time is approximately 5.5 hours, with approximately 2 hours spent on the trail. This tour departs between 7 and 7:30 a.m. (morning tour) OR 1 and 1:30 p.m. (afternoon tour) from Teton Village, Teton Pines, Spring Creek, Amangani and Jackson and returns between 12:30 and 1 p.m. (morning) or 6 and 6:30 p.m. (afternoon). Cost: $230 for drivers Dec. 1 through Jan. 4; $205 for drivers Jan. 5 through Apr. 5; $130 for adult riders; $110 for child riders ages 6-12; $50 for children ages 4-5 (no children under 4).  Tours run Dec. 1, 2014, through Apr. 5, 2015.

Grand Teton Wildlife Luxury Van Tour (Half Day)
Enjoy exploring Grand Teton National Park from the warmth and comfort of a 12-passenger luxury van. This all-ages tour includes the National Elk Refuge, traveling along Gros Ventre Road to the warm springs and a stop at the Shane Cabins. Snacks, binoculars and learning materials for children are provided. This tour departs between 7:30 and 8 a.m. (morning tour) OR 1 and 1:30 p.m. (afternoon tour) from Teton Village, Teton Pines, Spring Creek, Amangani and Jackson and returns between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. (morning) or 4:30 and 5 p.m. (afternoon). Cost: $125 for adults; $75 for children 6-12 and $50 for children under 6.

Note: park entrance fees and guide gratuities are not included in tour prices. A 20 percent gratuity will be automatically added upon reservation for private and group bookings. All tours are subject to change due to weather and snow conditions.

SCENIC SAFARIS RECEIVES CONTRACT FROM NATIONAL PARK SERVICE TO OPERATE SNOWMOBILE, SNOWCOACH
TOURS IN YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

Scenic Safaris, a tour company owned by Forever Resorts LLC, has been selected by the National Park Service to provide guided interpretive oversnow vehicle tours within Yellowstone National Park under a new concession contract. The contract is scheduled to be in effect beginning July 1, 2014.

Scenic Safaris snowcoaches currently take 75 percent of all guests entering the south entrance into Yellowstone National Park. The company uses purpose-built Hagglund snowcoaches, which are unique to Yellowstone and completely state-of-the-art. Designed specifically for oversnow travel, each snowcoach can be modified to carry up to 18 people (as opposed to 10 passengers in a standard tour van) and utilizes energy-efficient diesel fuel. All equipment utilized meets the National Park Service newest noise and emission requirements.

In addition, Scenic Safaris operates the newest, most fuel efficient and quietest snowmobiles available. The company is the largest single buyer of SkiDoo snowmobiles.

Scenic Safaris has partnered with Headwaters Lodge and Cabins at Flagg Ranch to offer snowcoach and snowmobile guests a better experience this season. Details about packages debuting for the 2014-2015 season will be announced shortly.

All Scenic Safari guides are certified by the National Association for Interpretation and undergo continuous education each year. In addition, all guides are qualified Wilderness First Responders and trained to address emergency situations.

New tours are in development now for the 2014-2015 winter season, which begins Dec. 15, 2014 in Yellowstone National Park.
