Bindlestiff Tours–the award-winning adventure travel company known for curating unforgettable experiences across the American West, Canadian West and Alaska, announces its newest offering: Best of Grand Alaska Highlights Tour. This six-day journey combines premier lodging, a relaxed pace and a mix of breathtaking experiences, providing travelers with an unforgettable way to explore “The Last Frontier.”

Guests can join a small group itinerary or choose a fully private tour option for parties of eight or more. Additionally, guests ages 50 and older can enjoy an exclusive departure tailored to a more leisurely pace and shared interests.

Departing from Anchorage on select dates in July and August, the itinerary takes guests from the rugged coastline of Seward to the soaring peaks of Denali National Park. Guests begin their journey along the spectacular Seward Highway, a National Scenic Byway renowned as one of America’s most beautiful drives. They’ll stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, home to rescued grizzlies, musk oxen, moose and bison, before boarding a narrated glacier and wildlife cruise in Kenai Fjords National Park.

Travelers will also enjoy guided walks to Exit Glacier and panoramic viewpoints of the Matanuska Glacier, where sweeping alpine scenery offers remarkable photo opportunities. In Hatcher Pass, guests explore Gold Rush history at Independence Mine, with its century-old buildings and mining relics set amid tundra meadows.

The adventure continues in Denali National Park with a full-day wildlife tour, where sightings may include grizzly bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep and golden eagles. Weather permitting, visitors might also glimpse Denali itself—the tallest peak in North America.

The journey concludes aboard the iconic Alaska Railroad for a relaxing, scenic return to Anchorage. Along the way, guests take in views of the Susitna River, dense forests, mountain vistas and even a glacier. Optional experiences—such as a glacier landing flight tour—provide an opportunity for an even more immersive look at Alaska’s breathtaking wilderness.

“This itinerary blends Alaska’s most stunning landscapes with a thoughtful cadence and comfortable accommodations,” said Rachel Urban, owner, Bindlestiff Tours. “By offering multiple versions, including an over 50s departure, we’ve made it easier for travelers to choose the style that best fits their pace, interests and travel companions.”

Premier accommodations feature waterfront hotels in Seward, a wilderness lodge overlooking the Matanuska Valley and cozy creekside cabins near Denali. This tour is available for $3,995 per person and includes five breakfasts, five lunches, expert local guide services and all major inclusions listed above.
