FOOTBALL SEASON

 

AFC and NFC Professional Football Playoff Watch Parties – Sunday, Jan. 22

Football fans have the chance to watch two professional football playoff games in one place during South Point’s AFC and NFC Professional Football Playoff watch parties on Sunday, Jan. 22 with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. During each playoff game, guests are treated to drink specials such as $12 Buckets of five with a choice of Red Hook Audible Ale, Budweiser and Bud Light bottles and $15 Bottomless Draft Beer of Budweiser or Bud Light. Food specials include Popcorn ($1), Hot Dog ($1), Pizza ($3), Italian Sub ($4) and Wings ($5). In addition, South Point will host a $1,000 Cash Is King Giveaway during each game. After each quarter, participants will have the opportunity to earn $250. Both watch parties are free and open to the public.

 

The Big Game Watch Parties – Sunday, Feb. 5

The South Point Showroom, Exhibit Hall and Grand Ballroom will host watch parties for the Big Game on Sunday, Feb. 5 with doors opening at 10:30 a.m. Football fanatics can visit on-site wagering stations and will be treated to a variety of food and drink specials, including $25 Buckets of six with a choice of Budweiser and Bud Light in aluminum bottles, Corona and Michelob Ultra in glass bottles and $5 glasses of SKYY Vodka, Captain Morgan, Crown Royal and Don Julio. Food specials include Hot Dog ($1); Pizza, cheese or pepperoni ($3); Nachos, topped with cheese, refried beans, black olives and pulled pork ($4); Submarine Sandwich, ham or turkey and Swiss cheese ($5); Hoagie Roll, Italian sausage, served with peppers and onions and topped with marinara sauce ($5); and Chicken Fingers, served with ranch and bleu cheese dressing ($5). For the quickest and easiest way to place bets, guests can log onto the Nevada Sports Books app from anywhere in the casino. The Nevada Sports Book app features lines set by South Point’s Sports Book and offers consumers the ability to deposit money or collect winnings from South Point. All viewing parties are free and open to guests 21 and older.

 

Professional Football Specials

Throughout professional football season, South Point Hotel & Casino bars will offer drink specials, including Budweiser and Bud Light drafts for $2 and five-beer buckets of Budweiser and Bud Light for $12.

$9.95 Meal Deals

Baja Miguel’s offers $9.95 meal deals Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The specialty menu includes the choice of two items, including Chicken, Beef or Cheese Enchiladas; Chicken or Beef Flautas; Chicken, Ground or Shredded Beef Tacos and Chili Relleno. Entrées include Mexican Rice and Refried Beans. The $9.95 special includes frozen margarita, soft drink or Fideo soup. In addition, guests will enjoy complimentary fresh tortilla chips served with salsa, guacamole and bean dip for the table. Each entrée includes a side of rice and beans.

“What the Shuck!?” Lunch Specials and Half-Priced Oysters and Clams

South Point’s Big Sur Oyster Bar’s popular “What the Shuck!?” lunch special features menu items starting at $7.95. Diners will enjoy a variety of options, including Big Sur Pasta Bowl, Shrimp Alfredo, Popcorn Shrimp and Scallops, Oyster Po’ Boy, Tuna Melt and Fish Tacos.   • Monday: Salisbury Steak, seasoned ground beef steak grilled and topped with sautéed onions, mushroom gravy, served with mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day; Island Salad, grilled chicken breast with mixed greens, cucumbers, red and yellow peppers, green onions, mango, pineapple with macadamia nuts and tossed in a citrus vinaigrette with crisp wontons.

 

  • Tuesday: Homemade Meatloaf, oven-baked meatloaf with mushroom sauce, served with mashed potatoes and a side of vegetable; Coronado Chicken Salad, grilled and diced chicken breast served over baby kale, quinoa, arugula, teardrop tomatoes, dried cranberries and blue cheese, topped with apple cider vinaigrette.

Valentine’s Day Weekend Special Menu – Sunday, Feb. 12 – Tuesday, Feb. 14

Don Vito’s will serve a three-course menu with a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine for $39 per person, including:

  • First Course: Porcini Mushroom Risotto or Beet Salad, served with arugula, goat cheese and orange vinaigrette; or Italian Sausage and Bean Soup.
  • Second Course: Lobster Fettuccine, a light creamy lobster sauce tossed with pieces of lobster and finished with a drizzle of crème fraiche; Cupid’s Chicken, stuffed with wild mushrooms and mascarpone cheese, wrapped in parma ham and sautéed kale and lyonniase potatoes; or Braised Veal Bourgnonne, served with bacon and pearl onions in a rich red wine sauce over pappardelle pasta.
  • Third Course: S’mores Chocolate Cake, flourless chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache, topped with graham cracker crumbles, toasted marshmallows and caramel sauce; or Vanilla Mousse, served with chocolate dipped strawberries. Served with a choice of coffee or tea.

South Point will host complimentary Big Game Viewing Parties in the Showroom, Exhibit Hall and Grand Ballroom on Sunday, Feb. 1.Pro-football fans can watch the game on giant screens and cheer on their teams as the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots in the Big Game. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and kick-off is at 3:25 p.m. Betting stations are available at all viewing parties.

 

During the viewing parties guests can enjoy drink specials, including bottomless Budweiser drafts for $15, five-beer buckets of Budweiser and Bud Light for $12, Coors Lite drafts for $5, Gold and Silver Jose Cuervo Tequila cocktails for $5, shots of Fireball for $4 and shots of Ciroc for $4. In addition, food specials will include popcorn for $1, hot dogs for $1, pizza for $3, Italian subs for $4 and wings for $5.

Silverado Steakhouse will feature special dishes including appetizers, entrées and desserts. Each entrée comes with a dinner salad, chateau potatoes and Parisian vegetables. Regular menus will also be available.

  • Appetizers: Assorted Seafood Cocktail ($18), chilled crab meat, shrimp and scallops with a Marie Rose sauce; Marinated Portobello Mushrooms ($11), served with chilled asparagus and roasted peppers in a balsamic glaze.
  • Entrées: Striped Bass with Champagne Butter Sauce ($34), pan seared striped bass with sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and champagne reduction; Green Peppercorn Crusted New York Steak ($49), pan seared with sautéed spinach and a cabernet wine glaze.

Wine of the Month Special Features $20 Bottles

Happy Hour
Steak ‘n Shake offers guests a happy hour special featuring a 50 percent discount on select milkshakes Monday through Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Valentine’s Day Menu Available Sunday, Feb. 14 – Just Added
Zenshin will serve a three-course menu and a complimentary glass of champagne for $45 per person including:

  • Appetizers: Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with shaved onions, baby heirloom tomato, soy balsamic reduction and garlic sauce; or Half Dozen Shigoku Oysters with wasabi apple ponzu gelee;
  • Entrées: Sansho Dusted Seven-Ounce Scottish Salmon with green tea cous cous. Roasted baby beets and furikake vinaigrette; or Eight-Ounce Grilled Filet Mignon with grilled asparagus, roasted garlic mashed potato and Japanese whisky demi glaze;
  • Desserts: Red Velvet S’mores with peanut butter marshmallow, chocolate crispy rice and raspberry coulis; or Chocolate Soufflé with vanilla ice cream and pomegranate drizzle.

All guests must be 21 or older with a valid form of ID to receive the complimentary cocktail. Tax and gratuity are not included. The regular dining menu will also be available.

New Lunch Items Starting at $5 – Just Added
Zenshin has revamped the lunch menu with menu items starting at $5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy $5 sushi rolls such as the Crunch Roll with shrimp tempura, crab, avocado roll topped with eel sauce; Spicy Tuna Roll with spicy tuna and cucumber; or California Roll with crab, avocado and cucumber. In addition, the new menu offers $9.95 entrée specials including the Poke & Cone Sushi, Hawaiian style seasoned tuna and seasoned tofu skin stuffed with sushi rice; Shogun Eight-Ounce Wagyu Burger served on a homemade bun with marinated waygu beef, over-easy egg, avocado, lettuce, tomato, tempura onion rings and garlic mayo and choice of parmesan eggplant fries or sweet potato chips; Po’Boy Tempura Soft Shell Crab Sandwich served on a homemade bun with tempura soft shell, spicy crab mix, Asian slaw, pickled red onion, lettuce, tomato and spicy mayo and choice of parmesan eggplant fries or sweet potato chips; or Three Mini Kurobuta Sausage served with a homemade bun, pork sausage, lomi tomato, hot mustard and barbecue ketchup.

Zenshin offers guests a daily happy hour special featuring a 50 percent discount on select items from 2 to 6 p.m. and a reverse happy hour from 9 to 11 p.m. Diners have the opportunity to relax after a busy day with $5 martinis, $2 domestic and $2.50 import beers. A special happy hour dining menu features appetizers including Edamame ($2.50), Karaage Chicken ($3.50), Fried Oysters ($5), Hamachi Kama ($5), Misoyaki Salmon Kama ($5) and more.
