Giant Illuminated Dragon and More Welcomes Lunar New Year

A legendary creature in Chinese mythology and folklore, the dragon is a traditional symbol of power, strength, and good luck. The Forum Shops at Caesars is sharing this fabled creature in a big way by welcoming a 22-ft. long, 6-ft. wide and 12-ft. high dragon to the world-renowned retail destination. Displayed on the Fortuna Terrace near the entrance to The Forum Shops from Caesars Palace casino for the public to enjoy, the massive 950-lb steel-framed dragon is covered in 30,000 red and amber LED lights, many of which flicker, giving the mythical beast a vibrant look and dynamic feel. While the Chinese New Year begins on February 19, 2015 and it is the Year of the Sheep, the traditional Chinese dragon will be on display throughout the Lunar New Year celebratory season. To further mark Chinese New Year, The Forum Shops at Caesars will again welcome students from the Meadows School, who will perform the traditional dragon parade throughout The Forum Shops at Caesars on Thursday, Feb. 19 beginning at 10 a.m. The cast of singers and dancers includes 120 Meadows students – 60 from kindergarten and 60 from fifth grade plus the school’s very special guest, founder and Mayor of Las Vegas Carolyn Goodman.

There are only eighty-eight Chinese New Year Mini Cara Delevingne Bags, available in selected locations around the world – including The Forum Shops at Caesars. Collectors and guests of Rotella Gallery will not only be engaged with festive decor but the gallery is also highlighting photographs that coincide with the special occasion. In conjunction with the Year of the Goat, Sheep and Ram, Rotella Gallery is highlighting two of photographer Art Wolfe’s brilliantly captured images “Mountain Goat & Kid” and “Huang Shan.” Burberry has a Lunar New Year inspired collection for 2015 including a limited edition Scottish-woven Heritage Cashmere Scarf in camel, stone and charcoal. British Luxury Brand Mulberry Opens First Store in Las Vegas

in The Forum Shops at Caesars

To celebrate its first Las Vegas store opening on Aug. 1, Mulberry has created a capsule collection of stunning limited edition embellished pieces, available exclusively in Las Vegas at Mulberry inside The Forum Shops. A sumptuous black suede clutch, called the Clemmie, is studded with dozens of gunmetal rivets for a truly statement bag. Four classic and exquisitely tailored black dresses are decorated with beading and glass crystal, adding a touch of glamour inspired by an artistic floral motif. A pair of striking embellished high heel sandals completes the look. The Forum Shops store is the first Mulberry store in North America to feature a new store design concept. Inspired by Mulberry’s roots in the English countryside the design uses color and textures inspired by natural materials. Hand-carved and untreated oak is used for shelving, and Somerset limestone is used for the floor, laid out in the style of traditional parquet flooring and reminiscent of traditional English country houses. The store is divided into areas for a calm and elegant shopping environment, with neutral colors allowing the products to stand out. Mulberry commissioned British leather artist Genevieve Bennett to create a stunning collection of leather wall tiles carved out in beautiful tonal leather, of course inspired by Mulberry’s heritage of leather craftsmanship. The Forum shops location features Mulberry’s first ever wall of ‘falling leaves’, taken from the iconic Mulberry tree logo to create a subtle and elegant pattern on a feature wall for all to see.
