The Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Epicurean Charitable Foundation of Las Vegas (ECF) have named Scott Farber, Director of Operations for Emeril Lagasse’s four Las Vegas restaurants, as the new President in 2012.

“I am honored to accept the position as new President of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation of Las Vegas,” said Scott Farber, President of ECF. “I will work to continue the mission of the organization and bring prosperity and success to the students, board members and donors.”

As the new leader of ECF, Farber will continue to flourish and align the hospitality industry’s affiliation with the community through support of the local education system, related organizations, charities and associations for the Las Vegas-based non-profit organization. With more than 20 years in the restaurant business, Farber’s passion and life-long devotion to the industry shines through his hard work. As Director of Operations for Emeril Lagasse, Farber oversees Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House, Delmonico Steakhouse, Table 10 and Lagasse’s Stadium. Upon graduating from Louisiana State University in 1986, Farber landed an assistant position with Emeril Lagasse and has worked to become a leader within the company.

Kevin Dimond, General Manager of Aureole and The Charlie Palmer Group, has resigned as President of 3 years from ECF. During his tenure as President, Dimond helped the organization achieve a 100 percent success rate in placing students in mid-level managerial roles post-graduation and opened ECF’s new office in 2011.

ECF works to change the lives of Nevada’s students and positively impact the community, but couldn’t accomplish this without the generous contributions from donors including Southern Wine & Spirits, Wirtz Beverage Nevada, Diageo, Fiji Water, Coca-Cola, Johnson Brothers, MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment and more. Future donors can support ECF with a monetary or in-kind donation, matching a gift, gift and estate planning or become a scholarship or M.E.N.U.S sponsor.
