INAUGURAL K9 & CAYMUS 5K IN HONOR OF SCOTT MENKE
The scenic fun run takes place Sunday, Aug. 29 and 100% of proceeds will benefit Noah’s Animal House
On Sunday, Aug 29, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe will host the inaugural K9 & Caymus 5K in honor of the late Scott Menke and benefitting Noah’s Animal House. Following the 5k, participants are invited to attend a barbecue lunch featuring Caymus wine and other refreshments on Hard Rock Lake Tahoe’s pool deck.
Those close to Menke know he held a deep love for animals, especially his dog Gracie. 100% of the proceeds from the K9 & Caymus 5K will benefit Noah’s Animal House. The non-profit organization is dedicated to protecting pets of domestic violence victims, providing the best possible care to animals in need.
“Scott Menke continues to be remembered as an amazing friend, colleague, and philanthropist,” said Eric Barbaro, executive director of marketing for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe. “We are grateful to host this inaugural event in support of a cause that meant so much to Scott, and we will continue to honor him and the incredible impact he has had on our community.”
Menke was a hospitality visionary, with deep ties in both southern and northern Nevada. As CEO and co-founder of Paragon Gaming, Menke’s leadership and integrity is remembered by those who knew him. His friends and family continue to honor his legacy through various philanthropic endeavors.
