WHO/WHAT:
Sugar Factory is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new luxurious Sugar Factory Chocolate Lounge, located on the second floor of the Plaza at Fashion Show. On Friday, March 17, the launch of the Chocolate Lounge at Sugar Factory will be hosted by Las Vegas’ own Power 88 Eric B and friends to celebrate Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav birthday. The night will kick off the opening of the Chocolate Lounge which will be open to the public every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Upon arrival, guests will delve into a chocolate covered fantasy in a space embellished with rich gold and caramel tones, luxurious cocoa-colored furniture, divine treats, and floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook stunning sights of the Strip. This sinful new addition to the “sweet” location is perfect for chocolate lovers of all ages, but especially for adults looking for a more intimate dining experience. In addition to an indulgent selection of dishes, all cocktails and beverages are served in original delectable chocolate dipped glassware.

  • Chocolate Mudslide Martini- mixed with vodka, Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish cream, garnished with chocolate shavings, chocolate drizzle, and a milk chocolate rim

Lunar New Year Heralds the Year of the Horse

The Forum Shops celebrates Lunar New Year and welcomes the Year of the Horse with a number of special events, products and activities. Considered a fortunate year that brings luck and good things, The Year of the Horse officially begins January 31. To kick things off, students from The Meadows School will perform the traditional dragon parade throughout The Forum Shops at Caesars on Friday, Jan. 31 beginning at 10 a.m. The cast of singers and dancers includes 120 Meadows students – 60 from kindergarten and 60 from fifth grade plus the school’s very special guest, founder and Mayor of Las Vegas Carolyn Goodman. This marks the 18th consecutive year The Meadows School has performed at The Forum Shops for this annual celebration. Exclusive Collections celebrates The Year of the Horse with Chinese artist Jia Lu who will exhibit her works at the gallery inside The Forum Shops. There will be lion dancers and a special exhibition of Lu’s art, where you can meet the artist and view breathtaking figurative works from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 31 – Feb. 2. The black and white exhibit features stunning Pruitt images and rotating cylindrical columns topped with original designs from the collection, including his signature Cutie Flats, Anouk Pumps, Sprinkle Wedges, Neo Keychains and Maui Sandals. On Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, The Shoppes at The Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, in partnership with The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas, will host an only-in-Vegas Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) event. Celebrity power couple, Giuliana and Bill Rancic, will guide guests through the season’s most talked about fashion tips and trends — a tell-all worth attending. The festivities kick-off in style at 6 p.m. on level two of The Shoppes at The Palazzo near Chloè and Piazza Sempione.

Notable evening highlights include a drawing for a $2,000 couples shopping spree with the hosts. The first 100 lucky attendees will receive a signed copy of Giuliana and Bill’s book, “I Do, Now What?” Other FNO festivities include Kiss & Tell Lipstick Readings, in-store shopping incentives, trunk shows and more.

 

Throughout the weekend — Sept. 8-Sept. 11 — The Shoppes at The Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian are also offering a chance to register to win a trip for two to Hawaii, complete with a $500 shopping spree at Ala Moana Center and a four-day three-night stay in a one-bedroom partial ocean view suite at Trump Waikiki. Additional shopping incentives include complimentary show tickets to “Jersey Boys” or “Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular,” when you spend $500 or more with receipts valid Sept. 8-11.
