WHAT: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas celebrates the Year of the Dragon with a “Dotting of Eyes” ceremony and street parade taking place throughout the resort featuring a twisting and turning dragon, lions and dancers.

WHEN: Saturday, January 28

Noon – Chinese New Year “Dotting of Eyes” ceremony

12:20 p.m. – 1 p.m. – Parade takes place throughout the resort

WHERE: The “Dotting of the Eyes” ceremony will be held at the East Side entrance off Las Vegas Boulevard, next to the Pop-Up Wedding Chapel and followed by the ceremonial parade through the resort.

ABOUT: The Chinese New Year celebration will begin with the “Dotting of Eyes” ceremony at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ East Side / Las Vegas Boulevard entrance, near the Pop-Up Wedding Chapel. During the ceremony, resort representatives will “awaken” the dragon and lions by dotting their eyes with red paint. Once underway, the parade will twist and weave throughout the casino floor. The moving celebration will make a stop at the Talon Club for a “Collecting of the Cabbage” ceremony.
