SCENIC SAFARIS ANNOUNCES GRAND TETON AND YELLOWSTONE WINTER
TOURS FOR THE 2017 – 2018 SEASON
Scenic Safaris announces an enticing roster of half-day, full-day and overnight tours into Yellowstone National Park and the Bridger-Teton National Forest, as well as half-day tours into Grand Teton National Park, for the 2017 – 2018 winter season. Guests have the option of traveling via Scenic Safaris’ luxury vans into Grand Teton National Park, via snowmobile into the Bridger-Teton National Forest and snowmobile or snowcoach into Yellowstone. With any of these tours, guests are sure to experience the landscapes, wildlife and geologic wonders of these parks during the most magical—and less crowded—season of the year.
Half-Day Tours
Grand Teton Half-Day Wildlife Luxury Van Tours make an ideal option for families with smaller children and anyone not interested in snowmobiling. These four-hour tours also offer morning and afternoon departures in a comfortable vehicle outfitted with elongated windows perfect for wildlife viewing. Tour routes vary according to wildlife migration patterns and the group’s interest, but all tours start along the National Elk Refuge into Grand Teton National Park.
Classic Half-Day Snowmobile Tours in the Bridger-Teton National Forest are great for first-time snowmobilers, families with younger children (ages 10 and up) or vacationers who want to hit the ski slopes in the afternoon. Snowmobile tours include gear (boots, one-piece suit, helmet and gloves), light breakfast and refreshments and a 1.5 – 2-hour ride on a groomed trail with plenty of stops for photos.
Full-Day Tours
A variety of full-day snowmobile tours include Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Gros Ventre and Togwotee High Mountain and Turpin Meadows – the latter includes lunch at the popular luxury dude ranch of the same name. These tours take passengers to a variety of iconic sights such as Leidy Lake, The Sleeping Indian, the Gros Ventre River, Breccia Cliffs and the Togwotee Pass. In addition, the Gros Ventre Snowmobile Tour & Scenic Flight features an over-snow and aerial experience with stunning views of the Teton range in a private Cessna Turbo Stationair 8 touring aircraft. Each full-day tour takes 8 – 9 hours and includes lunch and snowmobile gear.
Full-Day Old Faithful Snowcoach Tours offer guided sightseeing experiences 45 miles (one-way) into Yellowstone to the famous geyser. With stops along the way for photo opportunities, these tours visit points of interest such as Moose Falls, Lewis Canyon, Lewis Falls and West Thumb Geyser Basin. Guests will see Old Faithful erupt and have lunch before continuing along the tour route. Total tour time: 12 hours.
Overnight Tours
