The UNLV men’s basketball team will play its second straight Mountain West game at the Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. vs. Wyoming. The Runnin’ Rebels (7-6, 1-0 MW) are coming off a conference season-opening 78-76 victory over Colorado State on Wednesday.

In their first game at the Thomas & Mack Center in 31 days, the Runnin’ Rebels erased an eight-point deficit in the final 4:47 and a goaltending call against CSU with 1.2 seconds remaining gave UNLV the win.
UNLV is led in scoring by senior guard Kris Clyburn (12.8 ppg), sophomore guard Amauri Hardy (12.3 ppg) and freshman forward Joel Ntambwe (11.0 ppg). Shakur Juiston, who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, averaged 10.8 ppg and 8.8 rpg over eight games played. Among active players, sophomore forward Mbacke Diong is the team’s leading rebounder (6.7 rpg) and he leads the team in blocks (second in the MW) with 1.8 bpg. Senior guard Noah Robotham is the team’s assist leader (3.2 apg).
Wyoming (4-10, 0-1) dropped its conference opener on Wednesday at home to Boise State (69-55). The Cowboys are led by Justin James’ 21.3 ppg and 9.6 rpg.
Saturday’s game will be televised on ESPNU with Sam Farber and Richie Schueler calling the action.
