BROWN NAMED RAISING CANE’S OUTSTANDING REBEL OF THE WEEK
The senior had a 52-yard pick-six, along with two sacks and another TFL in a win at Sam Houston
UNLV football senior Aamaris Brown has been named the Raising Cane’s Outstanding Rebel of the Week, the school announced Wednesday.
The award goes to the student-athlete who turned in the best individual performance during the previous week of competition from Monday through Sunday as voted on by the UNLV Athletics Strategic Communications department.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Brown led the Rebels’ defense in a 38-21 victory at Sam Houston. Halfway through the second quarter, he had a 52-yard interception return for a touchdown, which gave UNLV a 24-7 lead. In total, Brown accounted for three tackles-for-loss, which included two quarterback sacks.
Additionally, he was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week.
