Grant a Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center is proud to announce its partnership with Charity Series of Poker to host “Cards and Cars: Poker at Porsche Henderson” presented by The Pacheco Family & Porsche Henderson.
This charity poker tournament will take place at the newly opened showroom of Gaudin Porsche of Henderson on Saturday, September 6, at 5:30 p.m. “Cards and Cars: Poker at Porsche Henderson” will feature a turbo Texas Hold ’em poker tournament with a $300 buy-in and $100 rebuys/add-ons. Players will compete for a prize pool of $5,000 cash plus over $10,000 in donated prizes. The buy-in includes an initial chip stack, an open bar sponsored by Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, and catering sponsored by Via Brasil Steakhouse and Loaded Empanadas. The tournament will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Poker legend Mike Matusow is expected to attend, along with stand up comedian Gabe Lopez of “Dirty at 12:30” fame who will be your emcee for the evening.
President and Founder of the Charity Series of Poker Matt Stout, who has over $9 million in lifetime tournament winnings, will be hosting a free poker lesson from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for players who will be participating in the event.
Players who don’t wish to play in the poker tournament can still support the event for a $100 donation. The cocktail hour will include a curated bar by Sips in the Dessert pouring sponsored product from Aspen Vodka, the official vodka of the Raiders, or get an espresso martini from All That & Latte. Have fun browsing the luxury brand pop up shops by Phillip Plein, STITCHED and Of Seventy, or try on jewelry or a watch from Sky Diamonds, Kendra Scott or LUXE Las Vegas. Enjoy entertainment from our magician, or take home a custom caricature or photo, all while admiring the luxury Porsche sports cars displayed in the showroom.
All event proceeds will benefit Grant a Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center. Funds raised for the organization will stay in Nevada, and go towards impacting our clients, their families and the community with scholarships to supplement insurance gaps, vocational programming for young adults, free community workshops and events, family support services and training, advocacy and expanding our services throughout the valley.
“As the father of an amazing six-year-old boy who has Autism, I can’t stress how important the work that Grant a Gift does and how much pressure it takes off families like mine.” said Matt Stout, President and Founder of the Charity Series of Poker. “Every good parent does their best to ensure that their child will have all of the tools they need to succeed, but trying to make sure it happens for Autistic kids can be especially complex. You have to navigate diagnoses, advocates, individualized education plans, therapy options and more. Grant a Gift helps take that burden off parents and guides them through an otherwise confusing and daunting process.”
