Code Ninjas® Summerlin and Centennial Hills Announce Summer Camps
Learning to Code and Building Robots Part of the Fun for Las Vegas Kids Ages 7-14
Code Ninjas announced today the launch of their Summer Camps for kids ages 7-14 at their Summerlin and Centennial Hills locations from June 7 to August 6.
“Our summer camps are designed to teach kids valuable coding skills in a fun and engaging environment,” said Craig Barishman, owner and director of Code Ninjas Centennial Hills. “Through our unique martial arts-inspired curriculum, kids learn problem-solving and teamwork skills while fostering their love of technology.”
The week-long camps led by Code Senseis® (instructors) guide kids through various challenges and activities, including building their own video games and an actual robot. Ninjas (students) also learn creative development skills including audio and video editing to produce their own short movies and music composition. Half and full-day camps with multiple themes and modalities including Space Week, Pokémon Week (Minecraft Pixelmap), Superhero Week, Make Code Arcade (Retro Game Club), Dinosaur Week (Jurassic Park in Minecraft), Code & Music (Building the Beat), and Scratch (Create Your Own Game) will be offered. Pricing and themes may vary by location.
“By working independently as well as in a collaborative setting, kids stay mentally engaged and focused during the summer months,” says Don Kang, owner, and director of Code Ninjas Summerlin. “Each camp presents a set of unique activities aimed at preparing kids for a future in technology.”
In keeping with their commitment to providing a safe environment, Code Ninjas has implemented the following health and safety measures; reduced room capacities to allow for social distancing, increased regularity of sanitation of high traffic areas and equipment, face coverings required for all employees and visitors, hand sanitation stations throughout the locations.
