Announce Inaugural RDA Performs Concert Series,
“Sound in Space: Music as Architecture”
The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum’s RDA Performs concert series launches its inaugural public season, “Sound in Space: Music as Architecture” — a season where architecture, art, and music converge.
Curated by Alexandria Le, RDA Performs’ Artistic Director and international award-winning pianist, the 2025–26 season features four intimate concerts on select Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. between October and May, each designed to highlight the connection between music and the architectural sanctuary of the museum. With just 75 seats per performance, this boutique series will transform the museum into a resonant, living gallery of sound.
“The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum is delighted to partner with Alexandria Le on this incredible, collaborative effort through RDA Performs,” said Laura Sanders, Executive Director of the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum. “The sheer brilliance that Alexandria has put into this series is impeccable. Each concert is distinctly unique, and we look forward to immersing guests in a beautiful and unforgettable harmonic blend of music, while surrounded by the museum’s astonishing art collection and architecture.”
On Saturday, Oct. 11, the series will open with Piano Portraits: A Piano Duet Dialogue, an intimate and dazzling program performed by Le and Broadway legend, Philip Fortenberry. Known for their artistry and natural chemistry, the two artists weave an exhilarating dialogue of colors, textures, and layers in a program that spans elegance, wit, and virtuosity. This concert is generously sponsored by Dave Been, and Lisa and Steve Stokes.
Broadway Reimagined: A Chamber Music Tribute will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026. In this candlelit setting, musicians who have brought Broadway productions to life on stages from New York to The Smith Center reimagine Broadway’s timeless favorites in an intimate, architectural setting.
On Saturday, March 14, 2026, Ancient Echoes: Baroque & Modern Resonance explores the dialogue between early music and contemporary composition. Guided by Artistic Director Alexandria Le in collaboration with Jonathan Rhodes Lee, Director of UNLV’s Early Music Ensemble, and Jennifer Bellor, Director of NEXTET, the program pairs Baroque elegance with striking modern works by living composers, offering audiences a rich sonic tapestry that traverses centuries.
The season concludes on Saturday, May 2, 2026 with Desert Sounds. Performed by select principal musicians of the Las Vegas Philharmonic—including concertmaster DeAnn Letourneau—the program evokes the desert’s subtle beauty and sounds. From the shimmering minimalism of Arvo Pärt to the ethereal landscapes of Toru Takemitsu, Desert Sounds offers an immersive listening experience in the architectural wonder of the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum. Desert Sounds is supported in part through the generosity of Lisa and Steve Stokes.
“With RDA Performs, my goal is to create Las Vegas’ most intimate and visionary chamber music series—where every concert becomes both a cultural landmark and an invitation to experience the living artistry of the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum,” said Alexandria Le, Artistic Director of RDA Performs.
