Goodwill Presents Dump Your X’s Stuff Donation Drive

Dump Your X’s Stuff Donation Drive
Turn your ill-will into Goodwill in honor of Valentine’s Day

You could call it the Anti-Valentine’s Day donation drive. We call it Dump Your X’s Stuff.

You know what we’re talking about.

All that stuff an ex-boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse left at your place that is now sitting there collecting dust or taking up closet room. Goodwill of Southern Nevada challenges Las Vegans not to hate this Valentine’s Day, but to spread the love and donate.

Monday, January 30 through Valentine’s Day (Tuesday, February 14) bring your ex’s “gently used” stuff to one of Goodwill’s more than thirty donation centers across the valley.

Not only will you get a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart about helping Goodwill fund job placement programs in Southern Nevada, but YOU will get the receipt for a tax write off. (Just please make sure you or your ex has officially been dumped before dumping any stuff, okay?)

Here’s an added bonus: Those who donate between January 30 and February 10 will find out how to register to win a “Future Ex” prize package courtesy of KOMP 92.3FM’s Rock n Roll Morning show, featuring two pairs of tickets to the concert of your choice at House of Blues Las Vegas, dinner for four at Crossroads Restaurant at the House of Blues Restaurant & Bar, entrance into the private House of Blues Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay, mattress set from Best Mattress and a Black Diamond Pendant from Michael E. Minden Diamond Jewelers. Contest rules will be posted on www.KOMP.com.

With ongoing double-digit unemployment numbers in Las Vegas, the need for Goodwill’s services has increased exponentially. Thanks to the community’s support, Goodwill of Southern Nevada served more than 8,000 people and helped place more than 1,200 people into jobs in 2011.

All items donated to Goodwill of Southern Nevada as part of the Dump Your X’s Stuff donation drive must be the sole property of the donor. Goodwill of Southern Nevada and Lotus Broadcasting are not liable for items donated that do not belong to the individual donating.
