La Strega, the celebrated neighborhood Italian restaurant in Summerlin, invites pasta lovers to roll up their sleeves on Saturday, Aug. 23, starting at 11:15 a.m. for an unforgettable culinary adventure with Executive Chef and Partner Gina Marinelli at Nonna’s Pasta Club. This interactive, hands-on pasta-making class captures the heart and soul of Italian cooking.

Guests are welcomed with La Strega’s warm hospitality, a refreshing drink and light bites before diving into an immersive, small-group pasta-making journey led by Chef Gina and her team. From crafting dough by hand to shaping, cutting and finally enjoying a celebratory meal together, the experience is designed to capture the joy, artistry and tradition of Italian cooking.

  • Station 1 | Dough Making: Learn the foundations of pasta dough-making by hand, exploring different flours, natural coloring techniques and how to achieve the perfect texture. Guests will create their own dough to wrap and take home.
  • Station 2 | Shaping & Cutting: Transform pre-made pasta sheets into a variety of traditional forms such as chitarra, spaghetti, stracci, corzetti and cavatelli. Guests will box their freshly shaped pasta to enjoy later.
  • Station 3 | Cooking Demonstration: Gather for an intimate cooking demo where Chef Gina will prepare a savory pan sauce and cook pasta to perfection. Guests can taste, ask questions and learn authentic Italian techniques.

The experience concludes with a lively group lunch featuring the pasta made during the session, accompanied by the warmth and charm of La Strega’s signature hospitality. Each participant leaves with a curated gift bag filled with their pasta, recipe cards and other culinary goodies. La Strega encourages attendees to channel their inner Italian nonna by wearing white, dressing comfortably and being ready to get a little messy in the best way possible.

“This is more than a cooking class,” Marinelli said. “It’s about bringing people together, connecting over food and celebrating the joy of Italian tradition. You’ll leave with pasta, memories and maybe even a little flour on your shirt.”

Nonna’s Pasta Club offers five intimate small-group sessions held between 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Space is limited, and the experience is $100 per person, which must be prepaid via OpenTable. To reserve your spot or learn more, visit La Strega on OpenTable.
