Pop Artist, Kris Allen, to Perform at
Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip Saturday, February 9
Pop artist and American Idol winner, Kris Allen, comes to Hard Rock Cafe on the Las Vegas Strip Saturday, February 9.
The Arkansas native won the hearts of millions when he won the eighth season of American Idol. Shortly thereafter Kris released his self-titled debut album in 2009 which featured the 1.7 million-selling hit single “Live Like We’re Dying.”
Kris has a knack for crafting hook-filled pop melodies paired with heartfelt lyrics and a rich voice, as can be evidenced on his new album Thank You Camellia. Love is the starting point of the album in which Kris co-wrote every song. Digging deep into his relationships the songs that emerged are true to his experience, a testament to exactly what was going on in his head and how he felt about things as he was writing. Thank You Camellia, whose title is inspired by supportive friends he stays with in L.A. who live on a street called Camellia.
The result is a compilation of positive, uplifting songs like “Out Alive” and “Better With You,” and other songs that are about the struggles. The album’s first single, “The Vision of Love,” is an inspirational tune about helping others, a powerful reflection of how he feels about giving back.
Having visited Rwanda last year with TOMS to deliver shoes to those in need and working with non-profits such as Music Empowers and The Trevor Project has had a profound influence on Kris and can be heard in his music.
