UNLV MEN’S SWIMMING AND DIVING JOINS THE MOUNTAIN PACIFIC SPORTS FEDERATION FOR 2025-26 SEASON

The UNLV men’s swimming and diving program has accepted an invitation to become an affiliate member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) for the 2025-26 season, the school announced Thursday.

“We’re excited to be joining the MPSF this season.” said UNLV head coach Pat Ota “We’re grateful to the conference to give us a competitive place to swim and dive as the WAC moves away from swimming. With much of the same competition, we remain dedicated to competing for a title again next season.”

Also joining the MPSF are three other former Western Athletic Conference (WAC) programs in California Baptist, Air Force and Wyoming. Additionally, Pacific and Incarnate Word remain in the league that now comprises six swim and dive programs.

The Scarlet & Gray previously competed in the MPSF during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. In 2013, the Rebels won the MPSF title.

Over the past 12 seasons, UNLV competed in the WAC where it won seven conference titles, including each of the last five.
