Rock Academy of Performing Arts’ “RAPA After Dark” Now Accepting Enrollment for After-School Music Program, beginning 9/4

The Rock Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) is continuing its after-school music program, RAPA After Dark and is now accepting applications from students across the Las Vegas Valley until the first session begins on Thursday, Sept. 4.
Open to students throughout Clark County, RAPA After Dark will be held at Delta Academy, a public charter school in North Las Vegas and is led by RAPA’s Chief Rock Officer, Dr. Jay Caballero. The program will give students ages 10-18 of all experience levels the opportunity to develop or enhance their current skills as musicians within the rock ‘n roll music genre.
Priced at $200 per student, the eight-week program will host weekly sessions on Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
“RAPA After Dark is an incredible way for students to rock out, perform as a live band and even make new friends from different schools,” said Dr. Jay Caballero, Chief Rock Officer of RAPA. “It’s important for students to have a supportive environment where they can go after school, and RAPA After Dark offers a safe space for kids and teens to express themselves through music.”

Participating students will be taught in an intimate setting by RAPA’s seasoned music instructors with the choice of guitar, bass, keyboard, percussion or vocals. After eight weeks, the program will conclude with the students participating in a live rock concert.
For the past five years, Dr. Caballero has expanded RAPA to become a state-of-the-art music conservatory program at Delta Academy for aspiring musicians and vocalists with his students putting on rock concerts at various venues, including Downtown Container Park and The Space Las Vegas, among others.

All enrollment applications for RAPA After Dark must be submitted by Thursday, Sept. 4. To learn more about the program or to sign up to enroll, visit www.rapalv.com.
