The UNLV men’s basketball team, winner of four straight home games, will host Mountain West-leading and intrastate rival No. 7 UNR on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Tickets for the game, which is part of The Silver State Series presented by IBEW and Nevada Donor Network, may be purchased at UNLVtickets.com, by calling 702-739-FANS (3267) or at the Thomas & Mack Center Box Office.
Two ticket deals are available for Tuesday’s game if purchased in advance (by Monday): The Rebel 4 Pack for just $79, which includes four tickets, four UNLV hats and four chicken finger combos from concessions, and the Eat All You Can 3-Game Plan for just $54, which includes tickets to games vs. UNR, San Diego State and Boise State.
Fans are encouraged to wear red to Tuesday night’s game and “What Color is the Fremont Cannon?” T-shirts will be given away to the first 1,000 season ticket holders and the first 500 general fans. There will be a free pregame party with entertainment along with food and drink for purchase that will begin at 6 p.m. in Tark Plaza, outside of the main entrance to the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Runnin’ Rebels (11-8, 5-2) enter the contest one game out of first place in the MW after having their two-game win streak snapped at San Diego State on Saturday.
The Wolf Pack (19-1, 6-1) have won five straight games after suffering their only loss of the season at New Mexico on Jan. 5. UNR defeated Colorado State (100-60) in its last game on Jan. 23.
Tuesday’s game will be televised on ESPN2 with Eric Rothman and Adrian Branch calling the action. Jon Sandler, former Runnin’ Rebel Robert Smith, and Steve Cofield (sideline reporter) will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM and online via the UNLV Gameday App and TuneIn (link at UNLVRebels.com).
