Slice of Vegas Debuts at Mandalay Place



Slice of Vegas is the newest addition to The Shoppes at Mandalay Place. The restaurant is the second from Titan, the company behind Hussong’s Cantina.

The restaurant offers two dining options. Those passing by can grab and go from the By The Slice counter, or diners can relax in booths or lounge at the bar, taking in any of 12 TV screens or the 8-foot HD projection screen. You can use your iPhone to choose favorite songs on the jukebox and the restaurant offers a full bar, imported and domestic wine and an excellent selection of beer on tap or by the bottle. Following along the lines of Hussong’s, Slice of Vegas keeps it simple, offering good food in a friendly, approachable atmosphere.

Chef Devin Murchin heads the kitchen, working with Titan’s Executive Chef Noe Alcala. The casual spot serves NY style pizza with a thin, chewy crust, along with calzones, fresh pastas and unique salads.  Just a few different options include the Mushroom Ragu Pizza, Four Cheese and Truffle Pizza and Prosciutto & Pesto Pizza. Gluten free dough is available, as well as vegan and vegetarian options.  The tasty and approachable menu includes Bruschetta, made with grilled Italian bread served with a variety of toppings composed of a traditional bruschettamix, a roasted pepper and garlic mix, an olive tapenade, and a fennel infused parmigiano-reggiano cheese served with a side of garlic clove bread. Another soon-to-be favorite is the Gnocchi Bolognese, consisting of fresh homemade potato gnocchi pasta topped with the house bolognese sauce and fresh grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese.

Slice of Vegas stays true to its Italian theme by serving up classic Italian cocktails with a modern twist. Signature cocktails include Hey Sugar Lips, made of Grey Goose L’Orange, Caravella Orangecello, Funkin Sweet and Sour in a sugar rimmed martini glass; The Crown Martini, a blend of CrownRoyal, Cinzano Sweet Vermouth, Bitters, Splash of Luxardo and seasoned black cherry; Slice’s twist on Bellini is the Frozen Belodkaberry, a delicious frozen mixture of peaches, vodka and raspberry.

The restaurant features daily specials, offering a different highlighted food or drink item each day.
