New and Recurring Events in May

The bustling mixed-use community in Southwest Las Vegas will debut
a fresh new lineup of event programming and culinary offerings this month

With Spring in full swing, UnCommons, the first-of-its-kind urban campus in Southwest Las Vegas, will celebrate May holidays including Mother’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Military Appreciation Month and more, along with its already-beloved recurring community events.

 

The community is blooming with activity this Spring. UnCommons’ schedule of events will include the fan favorite Market in the Alley, AMARI Italian Kitchen & Wine Shop’s all-day happy hour, the Summer Melodies live music series and more.

The complete schedule of May events at UnCommons is as follows:

 

Weekly Events

  • Military Appreciation Month: May
  • General Admission will offer active duty and retired military members a complimentary appetizer all throughout May in honor of Military Appreciation Month.
  • For the entire month of May, Sunlife Organicswill be offering 10% off any active-duty military member’s order.
  • Wineauxwill be offering former and current military personnel 15% off when they dine-in and present a valid ID for the whole month of May.
  • Summer Melodies
  • Every Friday and Saturday, starting on Friday, May 3, Summer Melodies will return. From 6 to 8 p.m. in May and June, UnCommons will present live music in The Quad, UnCommons’ central courtyard for gathering. This recurring weekend event will offer magical moments inspired by the power of music through performances from local artists. Musical talent will be announced each week on UnCommons’ website.

  • Market in the Alley
  • From 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, UnCommons will host Market in the Alleyin The Quad. Discover and support more than 20 local vendors and creators on the first Saturday of each month.
  • New Menu at Salt & Straw
  • To kick off May, Salt & Strawwill debut a new menu with a beautiful bouquet of flavors to brighten up every day, including Jasmine, rose, marigold and more.
  • The Wineaux Club
  • Wineauxwine market, bar and escape, now offers its own wine club. Each month, the Wineaux Club takes guests on a tasteful adventure with two subscription options, featuring new discoveries and a prestigious selection. Those who are interested can sign up on Wineaux’s website.
  • Wineaux Wine Tasting
  • Every Wednesday at Wineaux, the sommeliers will offer wine tasting between 5 and 6:30 p.m. The tastings will be poured at their communal wine table for an enjoyable and relaxed evening. Reservations are requested.
  • Brunch & Good Vibes
  • Every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Sundry, a distinctive food hall experience at UnCommons, presents “Brunch & Good Vibes” featuring live music, brunch bites and bloody marys, courtesy of Diane Mina from Diane’s Bloody Mary Bar.
  • AMARI All-Day Happy Hour
  • AMARI Italian Kitchen & Wine Shophas extended its happy hour to last all day on Sundays. Available from 3 to 9 p.m. every week, guests can enjoy a delectable menu of shareable small plates accompanied by wine, beer, spirits and specialty cocktails. Available in AMARI’s bar and lounge, as well as on the spacious patio, happy hour specials include light dishes and refreshing libations. Happy hour offers are subject to change due to the ongoing introduction of new dishes and seasonal ingredients.
  • Hockey Playoffs
  • General Admissionsalutes the hometown hockey team during the postseason with a spin on the restaurant’s popular GA Margarita, the aptly named GoldenRita featuring Flecha Azul Reposado, available now through Wednesday, June 24.

  • Fast Lane Drive
  • Experience Fast Fridayon Friday May 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. Fast Lane Drive will be hosting the ultimate automotive experience featuring a collection of over 30 luxury cars on display for visitors to peruse.
  • Cinco de Mayo: Sunday, May 5
  • Todo Bienis gearing up for its first Cinco de Mayo celebration on Sunday, May 5, after its grand opening in March. The tiki tequilería will partner with Don Julio, feature a taco vendor, a lively Mariachi band, a special daytime drink menu and a summer menu to be announced soon.
  • Local poetry organization Beyond the Neon Poetrywill host “Sunday Sessions” in The Quad with a featured poetry reading by Jas Margarita and Yesenia Moya and an open mic session from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Teacher & Nurse Appreciation Weeks: Monday, May 6 through Sunday, May 12
  • General Admission, the hip new sports lounge and elevated restaurant, will celebrate Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week. Educators and nurses will receive a comped appetizer and a free kid’s meal with purchase of an adult entree. Guests must show an employee badge to receive this offer.
  • Sunlife Organicswill offer teachers and nurses 10% off their order from Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10, in honor of Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week.
  • Wineaux, will give teachers and nurses 15% off their bill when they dine-in to celebrate Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week. Guests must present a valid ID to redeem this offer.
  • Female Maker Market: Saturday, May 11
  • From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., UnCommons will host the Female Maker Market, which will feature local female-owned vendors, flashtattoos, a trucker hat bar, permanent jewelry, mama & mini photobooth, local gourmet eateries and more.
  • Mother’s Day Weekend: Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12
  • From Friday, May 10, through Sunday, May 12, Capelli Salonwill celebrate all moms with special offers. Spend $100 on a gift card and receive a $25 gift card; plus 20% off blowouts from select stylists; and a deluxe take-home hair kit, alchemy kit, or hair revival kit with any service, while supplies last.
  • On Sunday, May 12, General Admissionwill honor Mother’s Day by offering a complimentary drink to all moms, which will include a free draft beer, glass of wine or specialty cocktail from its extensive menu featuring two dozen draft beers, a dozen wines and over 200 spirits.
  • Todo Bienwill be hosting, “Día de Las Madres” on Sunday, May 12. Each mother that comes in will receive a free Madre Desert Water drink. Todo Bien will also feature a specially curated menu, along with floral decor by CHLOE AND MINT that mothers are welcome to take home.
  • Beyond the Neon Poetry: Sunday, May 19
  • Local poetry organization Beyond the Neon Poetrywill host “Sunday Sessions” in The Quad. The evening will feature “A Celebration of Motherhood” with a featured poetry reading and an open mic session from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 27
  • General Admissionwill offer all military members with valid ID a free burger, fries and beer in honor of Memorial Day.
  • National Cheeseburger Day: Tuesday, May 28
  • General Admissionis celebrating National Cheeseburger Day with an incredible buy-one, get-one free offer on its double-double smashburger on Tuesday, May 28. The smashburger is made with two black Angus beef patties, caramelized onions, GA sauce, dill pickles and American cheese, served on a warm brioche bun with a side of french fries.
