UNLV Athletics announced today that all 2020 Rebel football and men’s basketball season tickets will be delivered digitally for the first time, offering fans a safer, more efficient, more convenient and more cost-effective system for the Department.

“In today’s environment, the safety and security of our fans and staff is critical to us,” said UNLV Director of Athletics Desiree Reed-Francois. “Providing mobile season tickets will eliminate multiple physical touch points while allowing for contactless ticket delivery and use for football and men’s basketball events.”

In the last two years, UNLV Athletics added new digital ticketing options for season ticket holders, including downloadable mobile tickets, transfers and exchanges. 2020 UNLV football and men’s basketball season tickets will now arrive via email with an embedded link to download. Football tickets will be emailed in mid-August. Men’s basketball tickets will be emailed in mid-October. The new delivery process will help eliminate common issues with mailed paper tickets, including postal shipping delays, lost or stolen tickets, and address changes.

“Mobile ticketing puts more control into the hands of our fans,” said Megan Caligiuri, UNLV Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Operations. “With NFL stadiums going to all-mobile ticketing, and in advance of our upcoming move into Allegiant Stadium, the time is right for UNLV to make this transition. More than 95 percent of UNLV season ticket holders use UNLVtickets.com to manage their renewals and game-by-game tickets online and we will work with every fan throughout the process.”

Current season ticket holders are encouraged to verify their current email addresses by either logging into their online season ticket account, reaching out to their account representative, or by emailing rebelathletics@unlvtickets.com. All season ticket holders will receive detailed information on the changes via email.

In response to current conditions, UNLV recently moved the upcoming football seat selection and men’s basketball renewal dates back as well as added new payment-plan options. Queen Bee Market will Fall into
September with Las Vegas Shopping Expo

Shoppers rejoice! Queen Bee Market will ‘bee’ back in Las Vegas just in time for fall shopping with a two-day market on Friday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Sept. 14 at The Conference Center of Las Vegas.

Described as “Etsy comes to life,” the popular urban-style handmade market is feminine and fun, hosting vendors who make their products by hand, then display them in booths that are designed with flair. This will be the 29th Queen Bee Market since its creation in 2010, with artisans showcasing an array of handmade home décor, accessories, clothing, paper arts, vintage items, furniture and more. Attendees can also expect workshops and make-and-take stations.

Originally vendors at Queen Bee Market, sisters Kellie Dooley and Allison Gharst became the owners in 2014 and hand-select the vendors who participate in each Queen Bee Market. “We love bringing the market to Las Vegas each year because of the community; we’ve received great feedback from shoppers about how much they love the opportunity to purchase handmade items in a fun shopping atmosphere,” said Dooley, “Plus, a large number of our vendors are Vegas locals.”

A sampling of the confirmed participants thus far includes: Benson Threads, Benny and the Bear, Teressa Lane, Juniper Vale and more.

Tickets will be priced at $5 per person and will be available for purchase at the door. Children 12 years old and younger and military with ID will receive free entry. Food and drinks will be available for purchase and more information about Queen Bee Market may be found online at www.TheQueenBeeMarket.com.

Ahead of the expo, Queen Bee Market will also host a Craft Night, led by Kiki Comin at The Conference Center of Las Vegas 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12. The Craft Night will feature food, drinks, giveaways, swag bags and three take-home crafts. Tickets to Craft Night are priced at $85 and will be available for purchase online beginning Wednesday, July 24.

About Queen Bee Market

Queen Bee Market was originally founded in 2010, when it caught the attention of sisters, Kellie Dooley and Allison Gharst, who participated through their Etsy-based company, Peabody & Sassafras. The sisters purchased Queen Bee Market in 2014 and have continued to grow Queen Bee Market, amassing a strong following of vendors and visitors throughout the southwest. In 2017, Dooley and Gharst hosted their first Queen Bee Market in Las Vegas, which has since become an annual event. Both San Diego natives, the sisters balance their roles as business owners with parenthood as mothers to three small children, each. Queen Bee Market has made charitable donations to Operation Smile, Children of the Nations, Ronald McDonald House of Southern California, The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and others through its events.

The Movielife and NFG might have been two of the first bands that we ever gave our demo to when we first started Bayside. This is a very special tour for us on many levels.

Vacancy is the 7th and latest studio album from Bayside. It was written during an uncertain time for Raneri – the end of a relationship and the beginning of a mission of reflection and self-examination – and represents a case study in self-acceptance. He admits those twelve compositions are especially cathartic because he was literally “coming to terms with what my life was becoming.” Fans can check out the band’s latest video “Mary” now on  Youtube, or stream Vacancy in full via Spotify. To purchase, please visit: smarturl.it/Vacancy.

Bayside spent 2017 on tour in support of their latest record, before closing out the year with a highly successful 10 Year Anniversary tour in the U.S. and U.K. in celebration of their third album, The Walking Wounded. “The Walking Wounded was a really important record for us both personally and career wise. It was the record that got us back on our feet after our accident and also marked a big breakout for us professionally,” Raneri explains.”It was the first record and touring cycle that we did with the current line up. We felt it was important to celebrate the ten year anniversary of such an important time in our lives.

Now, with a new year and even more shows ahead, Bayside is ready to keep moving forward.

Now in its 23rd year, the Vans Warped Tour continues to solidify itself as the must attend festival over summer for rock and music lovers alike.

In the tradition of celebrating the tour’s musical roots, the lineup includes bands such as CKY, Sick Of It All, Municipal Waste, The Adolescents, Strung Out, T.S.O.L, Anti-Flag, Hatebreed and others, who are legends in the punk, hardcore and metal core world.

Returning this year is the Mutant Party Zone, which will provide festival-goers with two stages dedicated to heavy music from bands such as The Acacia Strain, Being As An Ocean, Blessthefall, Carnifex, Fit For A King, GWAR and any more.

The Vans Warped Tour has always been a place of music discovery and this year is no exception – the Full Sail Stage has up and comers like Boston Manor, Creeper, The Gospel Youth, Knocked Loose, Movements, and Trophy Eyes positioned to break this summer.

Overall, the tour continues to offer something for every fan, showcasing the best in pop punk, rock, hard core, hip-hop, dance and indie.

The Vans Warped Tour is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and the longest-running touring music festival in North America. Originally conceived by founder Kevin Lyman in 1995 as an eclectic alternative rock festival, with a focus on punk rock, over the years the tour has grown to include a multitude of genres, including metal, hip hop, reggae, pop and more. It remains one of the best tours to attend to discover emerging acts, to learn more about wonderful non-profits and companies who are working to make a positive impact on the world that surround them, and to meet like-minded friends.

“As we enter our 23rd year on the road, continuing our mission of music, philanthropy and education is what I look forward to most. The Vans Warped Tour is not for all, but every summer I look forward to seeing those fans who do chose to come and engage and be a positive force in our community.” – Kevin Lyman

In addition, the tour continues to host a wide array of amazing non-profits and educational workshops for attendees. Teens With a Purpose, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), Donate Life New England, Planned Parenthood, Keep A Breast, Testicular Cancer Foundation, and Project HEAL, just to name a few. Fans can see their favorite bands as well as become educated on these causes and how they can help.

Sierra Lyman comments, “Music has inspired change and social change has inspired music. Since its inception the Vans Warped Tour created a place where fans are not only inspired by their favorite artists, but also inspired to work with a cause they care about. This is pushed even further by opening up musicians to causes they never even knew about. By creating this community of nonprofits we are able to connect fans with their favorite musicians and also inspire some good in the world.”

The Entertainment Institute will return to the 2017 tour as well, hosting educational workshops and Q+A’s hosted by the industry’s most successful writers, artists, and photographers. A full listing of the guru’s hosting each workshop is available at http://www.thinktei.com/warpedtour

Tickets for this year’s tour on are sale now and can be purchased at vanswarpedtour.com

Plaza Hotel And Casino Las Vegas To Host 4th Of July Celebration On Rooftop Pool With drink Specials, Buffet, Live Band And Fireworks

Plaza Hotel And Casino
To Host 4th Of July Celebration
On Rooftop Pool With drink Specials
Buffet, Live Band And Fireworks

The fully renovated rooftop pool at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, which opened last July to rave reviews, will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a special Plaza Pool Nights Fourth of July party on Saturday, July 1, with live entertainment, drink specials, and a barbecue buffet. The festivities will culminate with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the downtown skyline.

This summer, the Pool at the Plaza introduced Plaza Pool Nights, dance and swim parties held under the stars on Saturday nights. On Saturday, July 1, the Plaza Pool Nights party will be the biggest yet this season to celebrate the pool’s anniversary and upcoming Fourth of July holiday.

On July 1, there will be music throughout the day at the pool, and in the evening, guests will enjoy live entertainment from Flashbax, an 80’s tribute band.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the cocktail bar at the Pool at the Plaza will offer a holiday drink special. Guests can buy one get one free of the special Firework cocktail (comprised of Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada Rum and Blueberry Lemonade Vodka), which is on the pool bar menu for $10. The pool bar will also offer a selection of frozen and specialty cocktails as well as beer and wine.

On the pool deck, there will be a special barbecue buffet with all-American favorites like baked beans, cornbread, watermelon, BBQ chicken, ribs, brisket, corn, roasted red potatoes, salad and apple pie. The buffet is all-you-can-eat for $25 per person.

At the end of the night, the Plaza will shoot live fireworks from multiple rooftop locations at approximately 10:45 p.m. The show will last approximately 4 minutes, and while the best views will be from the Plaza’s rooftop pool party, the fireworks will no doubt be seen in the sky for miles around.

Entry to Plaza Pool Nights, including the special July 1 event, is free. Guests must be 21 years of age or older.

In addition to its private (yet affordable) cabanas, the Pool at the Plaza has ample space to relax poolside. Building on last year’s renovation that created a “retro Palm Springs-meets classic downtown Las Vegas” inspired feel, the Pool at the Plaza further upgraded its resort style furnishings with new cocktail side tables, more wet deck lounge chairs to meet popular demand, and a dedicated dining area with new dining tables, chairs and umbrellas.

For those who want a bit more activity, the Pool at the Plaza also offers a tennis court and 12 Pickleball courts, making the Plaza the only hotel/casino in Las Vegas with so many dedicated courts for this fast growing sport that combines table tennis, badminton and tennis. Guests can rent paddles, racquets and balls for a nominal fee.

More details on events and amenities at the Pool at the Plaza this summer are available online at www.plazahotelcasino.com.
