Local Art Studio Gives ‘Family-Time’ a New Meaning as They Bring Creativity and Connection Together Through Art

Let creativity shine at Mi Amor Art, a local art studio centered on kids of all ages and parents interacting and making connections through art. The 3,000 square ft. space is fully immersive with endless supplies and options of fun materials, projects and classes that allows their artistic side to stand out. Perfect for play dates, family time, introduction to art, and assistance with any level of art projects, Mi Amor Art offers a fun and vibrant learning environment along with a professional and dedicated team. The studio also serves as an art gallery and retail store where art fanatics can purchase any of the art and faux floral arrangements on display, all handcrafted by the owner.
“As a single mom, it was difficult for me to find engaging activities or fun play dates to do with my daughter,” said Mi Amor Art Founder Chelsea Bailey. “I wanted to create a space where kids can use their imagination and connect with others on an artistic level. Kids love learning and making art…and messes…at the studio so parents can relax while the kids have fun and we takes care of all the cleanup.”
Those looking to expand their artistry are welcome to drop in at Mi Amor Art as they offer open craft time during their business hours from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Starting at just $20 for one hour, kids can choose from an array of art mediums such as wood crafts, painting and beading. Kids can also channel their inner Jackson Pollock with Action Art, an activity where kids can get messy and create an abstract masterpiece all at the same time. Additional services include canvas portraits that can be colored or painted, hands-on immersive art classes, and birthday party packages with photo booth and character actor options. Parents will also stress less about the mess as project clean-up is taken care of by the Mi Amor Art team afterwards. Foster families receive half off of all services when they come into the studio any day of the week.

Founder and artist Chelsea Bailey opened Mi Amor Art in August 2020 and was inspired by her own special connection with her 6-year-old daughter. Bailey advocates art as a form of therapy as a proven methodology that helps kids and adults explore their emotions, improve self-esteem and manage stress. In addition, Bailey works on large art installations and is currently working on an installation for the office spaces above her art studio.
