A YEAR TO REMEMBER
SPIEGELWORLD CELEBRATES 52 WEEKS OF
Episode 52 Available Now: YouTube.com/SpiegelworldTV
When live entertainment in Las Vegas shut down last year, Spiegelworld and its out-of-work artists decided to turn their creative energies to creating a weekly YouTube series, VEGASHITSHOW. Each week for 52 weeks, the episodes have charted the epic struggle in navigating COVID-19 restrictions to get Spiegelworld’s three shows, Absinthe, Atomic Saloon Show and OPIUM back on stage, as well as opening a brand-new restaurant, Superfrico.
The emotions, dramas, laughs and achievements along the way have been presented through the entertaining lens of Spiegelworld’s outrageous clowns and creatives. Exactly one year since the series began, episode 52 has been released. In this special anniversary episode of the funny, often moving docuseries, two of the company’s Vegas-based artists, Petra Massey from Atomic Saloon Show and Grace Lusk from OPIUM, look back on a year like no other.
“When we began VEGASHITSHOW in October last year, we had no idea when or if we would get all three shows back on stage,” said Spiegelworld’s Impresario Extraordinaire Ross Mollison. “Rather than sitting around watching Netflix with the rest of the world, we decided to have some fun by creating our own video series. It was a way to give our artists a sense of purpose and hope, and to keep in touch with the rest of the world. We said we wouldn’t rest until we overcame every hurdle to get all our shows back, and this 52-week video series is an incredible record of that journey.”
Beyond marking the series’ one-year anniversary, episode 52 of VEGASHITSHOW celebrates the drive, determination and resiliency of Spiegelworld’s creative team, cast and crew in helping to bring the company’s signature brand of audacious live entertainment back to the Las Vegas stage.
