Now Open At Downtown Summerlin
Barbell Apparel, known for its premium clothing designed for active and athletic people with styles to fit both in and out of the gym, is now open at Downtown Summerlin. The flagship store features its full selection previously only available online, complete with a team ready to help customers find just the right fit for their active lifestyles.
“The American dream of entrepreneurship is still alive,” says Karl Workman, owner and founder, Barbell Apparel. “For nearly 10 years, we’ve been on a journey filled with highs and lows. Most recently the challenges of 2020 had us questioning if our doors were ever going to open. Now that we have, I am thrilled to bring this product to the people of my own community.”
Designed for athletes, Las Vegas-based Barbell Apparel set out to create a new line of American-made, premium athletic denim that would not only fit muscular body types, but also be able to move and keep up with them. From denim to chinos and athleisure to workout wear, today the brand is a highly-successful fashion line, featuring partnerships with athletes such as 2019 World’s Strongest Man, Martins Lici.
The team brought a new vision to an already overly competitive market and in doing so found a place among an underserviced niche. Founded by a group of friends and athletes, they launched their first product, an Athletic Fit Jeans, on Kickstarter in 2014. This campaign went on to be the second most funded fashion project of all time.
