Burgers, Boozy Shakes and Big Flavor Hit the
Arts District Starting Thursday, May 29.
Holsteins Shakes & Buns, the home of outrageous burgers and over-the-top milkshakes, is bringing the party downtown. The Las Vegas-born favorite will open its brand-new location in the heart of the Arts District at 1216 S. Main St. on Thursday, May 29.
Famous for its decadent Bam-Boozled Shakes and crave-worthy Big Bun burgers, Holsteins is a fresh and fun addition to the neighborhood, offering a bold new go-to for lunch, dinner, happy hour and late-night bites.
The new downtown location is a full-circle moment for founder Billy Richardson, a third-generation Las Vegan whose father and grandfather got their starts in Downtown Las Vegas. “Holsteins built an ardent fan base while on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Richardson in reference to the original Holsteins, a top destination at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for nearly 15 years. “Now we’re bringing Holsteins home to locals in a neighborhood that feels like the soul of Vegas. We’re going to have some fun.”
Holsteins’ signature burgers are made with a proprietary prime beef blend and served on house-made black and cracked pepper brioche buns. Highlights include the Forager Burger with a prime beef and mushroom blended patty, topped with mixed greens, creamy steak sauce, a fried egg, tomato confit, marmalade onions and Swiss cheese; and The Crazy Bird, a blackened chicken breast with applewood smoked bacon, chipotle ranch, lettuce, tomato and pepper jack cheese.
No visit is complete without one of Holsteins’ famous Bam-Boozled Shakes—alcohol-infused, fully loaded desserts in a glass. Favorites include the Cookies & Cream, a vanilla shake infused with Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka, blended with Oreo crumbs, and topped with more Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, white and dark chocolate crunchies and an ice cream sandwich; or the Donutella a chocolate shake infused with coffee liqueur, blended with Nutella and coffee, topped with hazelnut praline, pirouette cookies, chocolate covered espresso beans, a mini donut, and vanilla frosting.
The new 2,800-square-foot space next to Velveteen Rabbit embodies the nostalgic elegance of early Las Vegas. Born within the framework of an older building with exposed wood arch trusses and aged brick walls, Holsteins shines with its polished concrete floor, snake-like curved booths, and jewel of a bar featuring a mix of turquoise glass tile, polished steel, brushed brass, and patterned white oak panelling. Simple yet stunning in its own right, the space exudes charm, featuring highly detailed decor and design while using rustic, minimal materials.
Holsteins will open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, and will open at 11 a.m. thereafter. Holsteins will remain open until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
