Cousins New York Pizza & Pasta Celebrates Grand Opening
This Week with 1,000 Free Pizzas
Family-Owned Pizzeria to Donate Pizzas to First Responders and Local Residents
What began as a childhood dream in New York City between two cousins is now a reality with the opening of Cousins New York Pizza & Pasta, which is now open at 9773 West Flamingo Rd. In support of the local community during the COVID-19 crisis, Cousins will be donating more than 1,000 pizzas to front line heroes at surrounding hospitals and Las Vegas residents.
Jared Weiss and Mitchell Kane, both longtime Las Vegans who grew up in New York, imagined their future pizzeria when they were just kids. Weiss even drew a picture that he still has today. “We grew up with a love for New York-style pizza and pasta and have wanted to bring that to Las Vegas as long as I can remember,” said Weiss. “Now, all these years later, it’s a dream come true. With the timing, it’s also an opportunity to give back to Las Vegas – a city that has given so much to us.”
Half of the 1,000 free pizzas will be given away to healthcare workers at neighboring hospitals. The remaining 500 free pizzas will be given to Las Vegas local community
A fast-casual pizzeria, Cousins’ menu will offer fresh and flavorful Italian cuisine, including pizza, pasta, hero sandwiches and calzones – all steeped in New York tradition. Signature pizza selections will include traditional pepperoni; the Palermo topped with spicy salami, tomatoes, basil and eggplant; and Meat Lover’s with meatball, Canadian bacon, pepperoni and sausage. A keto pizza crust, made from cauliflower, will also be available for carb-conscious customers.
Entrées include baked ziti; fettuccine alfredo; chicken parmigiana; spaghetti and meatballs; calzones with a selection of fillings including ricotta cheese, meatballs, mushrooms, pepperoni and sausage; and a variety of hero sandwiches including chicken parmigiana, meatball and caprese.
An array of appetizers, including garlic knots, mozzarella sticks and chicken wings, are available along with fresh salads. Dessert selections will include NY cheesecake with fresh berries, tiramisu and cannoli with chocolate chips.
