Credit One Bank® and VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS FOUNDATION VIRTUALLY PRESENT $84,000 TO SUPPORT LOCAL LAS VEGAS CHARITIES
Today, Credit One Bank®, issuer of the Official Credit Card of the Vegas Golden Knights, and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation presented seven local charities $12,000 each during a virtual check presentation. Some of the money was raised during a series of silent auctions at select Vegas Golden Knights home games at T-Mobile Arena. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, not all charities were able to host auctions, but Credit One Bank honored their commitment to the community by ensuring that all seven charities received $12,000 no matter the date of their originally scheduled fundraiser nor the total dollars raised during the silent auctions. The seven local charities include Family Promise of Las Vegas, HELP of Southern Nevada, HomeAid Southern Nevada, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY), The Shade Tree and U.S.VETS-Las Vegas.
The virtual check presentation was conducted via Zoom with representatives from Credit One Bank, the Golden Knights Foundation and all seven charities. Each charity got a chance to share their mission and the impact this donation will have in the local community. Participants were surprised with appearances from Chance, the Golden Knights beloved mascot, who shared a special thank you, and crowd ignitor, Cameron “Cheers” Hughes. Cameron Cheers twirled t-shirts with participants and expressed his gratitude for the charities and the Las Vegas community.
Credit One Bank and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation have donated more than $200,000 to charities in Las Vegas since 2018.
