EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION OPENS FOR 15th ANNUAL LAS VEGAS GREAT SANTA RUN
CHIPPENDALES, FIT4MOM, mascots from the Las Vegas Aviators, Aces and Lights, and more welcome early registration with an early-bird rate of $22 at Fremont Street Experience
On Thursday, June 20, Opportunity Village, along with help from a “vacationing” Santa Claus and a host of guests, brought the holiday spirit early with a Registration Launch Party for the 15th annual Las Vegas Great Santa Run. Mascots from local professional sports teams, the CHIPPENDALES, nationwide fitness group FIT4MOM, and the Tony Marques Band all helped to pump up the crowd and encourage early bird sign-ups for the event on December 7.
Hosted by Sunny 106.5’s Marco and Joanna, the extravaganza took place on the Main Street Stage at Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas. Chosen by online voters, the special 15th anniversary race medal was unveiled, featuring (in true Vegas style) a classic deck of playing cards. Medals were designed by the official medal provider of the Las Vegas Great Santa Run, Running Imp.
George Dare’s “Run, Santa Run!” was accompanied with an on-stage workout from FIT4MOM and the CHIPPENDALES. The show would not have been complete without the performance of “Mele Kalikimaka” by the OV Ukes from the Boyd Gaming Fine and Performing Arts Program at Opportunity Village. Mascots from the Las Vegas Lights, Las Vegas Aces and Las Vegas Aviators also greeted guests and danced along to music sung by the Tony Marques Band.
The Las Vegas Great Santa Run has already attracted participants from all over the world to support the beloved fundraiser. The run is Opportunity Village’s largest single-day fundraising event and continues to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help support Southern Nevadans with intellectual disabilities. Circle K will once again serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the event. And Opportunity Village is excited to welcome LaLa Photography as the official photographer of the Las Vegas Great Santa Run.
Early bird pricing of $22 is available online from June 20 – June 30. After that, pricing will increase to $30 per person. Registration includes a five-piece Santa suit, swag bag and medal. Pets are also welcomed to join.
