New Southwest breakfast hotspot to open in April

Don’t sleep on breakfast this spring, as 81/82 Group’s newest concept, Early Birds, A Breakfast Spot, will open on Saturday, April 6 at 7 a.m. at 5025 Blue Diamond Road. An official grand opening will follow on Saturday, April 20 with complimentary pancakes to the first 100 guests in attendance.

 

“To me, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so opening an easy, go-to spot to share with my neighbors is very exciting,” said Ryan Labbe, founder and CEO of 81/82 Group. “Early Birds is not just about serving delicious food; it’s about creating a fun and approachable space for the community to gather and properly start their day. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our breakfast table!”

 

The extensive menu features sweet and savory creatively crafted dishes. Choose from a selection of various waffles, French toast and signature pancakes in a variety of flavors, including:

  • Lemon Poppy, topped with lemon poppy drizzle and blueberries
  • Go Coconuts, coconut buttermilk pancakes topped with coconut frosting and berries
  • Churrrrro, topped with deep-fried cinnamon sugar, cream cheese frosting, dulce de leche and berries
  • S’More What?, topped with graham cracker, marshmallow fluff and chocolate ganache

 

Guests may add boozy whipped cream, infused with Frangelico, rum, or Bailey’s, to any of the pancakes, waffles or French toast for an extra special touch that adds a kick to their morning meal.

 

Classic dishes, such as omelets, skillets, benedicts and breakfast sandwiches, along with a selection of “between the bun” options and salads, rounds out the menu, including:

  • Croque Madame, with Swiss cheese, ham and sunny side up egg on toasted sourdough and served with smashed potatoes
  • Bodega bagel sandwich, with pork roll, American cheese and hashbrowns served on an everything bagel
  • “The Bear” omelet, with herbed cheese, potato chip and chive
  • The Irishman skillet, with two eggs your way, corned beef, potatoes, cheddar cheese, bell peppers, onions, romesco
  • The Devil breakfast sandwich, made with deviled egg salad, romaine lettuce and red onion on Texas toast

 

Complement the meal with one of Early Birds’ signature coffee drinks, smoothies or handcrafted cocktails, such as:

  • Blackberry Basil Spritz, with gin, honey, fresh lemon, blackberries, basil leaves and prosecco
  • Cereal Cocktail, with gin, blueberry, fresh lemon, egg whites and breakfast tea
  • Afternoon Delight, with scotch, Licor 43 Chocolate, cherry liqueur, chocolate milk

 

The restaurant features a contemporary design with an open, airy floor plan adorned in warm, neutral colors with a striking overhead light fixture depicting a blue sky to complete the inviting atmosphere.

 

Early Birds will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
