The 2024 series begins July 13, offering free concert experiences to all ages

 

Visit White Pine County is thrilled to announce the return of the Summer Concerts in the Park at Broadbent Park, promising an unforgettable lineup of free musical performances for all ages. From bluegrass and rock-a-billy to folk and Americana, the series showcases a diverse range of genres, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

“Ely is transforming into a musical destination, not just for the summer, but year-round,” explained Kyle Horvath, Director of Tourism for White Pine County. “This community is committed to fostering a thriving arts community and the 2024 Summer Concerts in the Park, along with the Schellraiser Music Festival, is a testament to the town’s dedication to providing diverse and exceptional musical experiences for residents and visitors alike.”

The Summer Concerts in the Park series follows the Schellraiser Music Festival taking place May 30 through June 1, 2024. Both musical events provide a more intimate, smaller-scale, attendee-friendly experience for anyone and everyone adventurous enough to visit the remote corner of Wild Nevada.

Saturday, July 13th – The Pickpockets (Bluegrass)
Hailing from Salt Lake City, The Pickpockets lead the charge in pushing bluegrass boundaries. Fresh from the release of their debut album “Beyond The Hills,” the five-piece string band’s innovative sound draws inspiration from diverse genres worldwide. With sold-out shows alongside notable bands, their dynamic performances are not to be missed.

Saturday, July 27th – Steven Denmark Band (Rock-A-Billy / Texas Swing)
Steven Denmark, rooted in rural Northern California, brings Rock-A-Billy meets Texas Swing to Ely. A seasoned musician, Steven’s journey culminated in his first full-length record, released in 2017. His unique blend of genres promises an energetic and soulful performance.

Saturday, August 10th – Tylor & the Train Robbers (Roots Country / Americana)
With roots in country and Americana, Tylor & the Train Robbers have spent a decade blazing trails through the heartland. Their electrifying performances, honed through relentless touring, promise an unforgettable night of rootsy tunes.

Saturday, August 24th – Wolf Jett (Folk / Blues / Americana)
Wolf Jett’s “Cosmic Mountain Music” is a celebration of perseverance, blending folk, blues, and Americana into a sound that captivates the soul. Frontman Chris Jones, born in the South and raised in CA, infuses joy into their danceable tunes, creating a fresh yet familiar vibe.
