Line-dancing marathon features prizes, psychic readings and mechanical bull riding

HELP of Southern Nevada’s “Boot Scootin’ Benefit” will be held at Gilley’s Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Que at Treasure Island from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11.

The afternoon will feature a line-dancing marathon, psychic readings and mechanical bull riding. Teams of up to six are able to participate in the marathon and prizes will be awarded to the best dancer, best costume, worst dancer and team that can dance the longest. Pirates and Sirens from The Sirens of TI outdoor show will be on-hand to encourage and dance along with participants during the event. Specials will be available to all teams including two-for-one deals on draft beers and cocktails except premium brands and five dollar appetizers such as Texas Nachos Grande, Buffalo Chicken Wings, BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders, Onion Rings and Southern Style Chicken Tenders. Guests can also test their strength on the mechanical bull for $10 or receive a psychic reading by licensed local intuitive Mystic Mona.

“We are very excited to partner with Gilley’s and Treasure Island for this fantastic event benefitting all of our programs,” remarked HELP of Southern Nevada CEO Terrie D’Antonio. “Even if you have two left feet, you’ll still be able to enjoy yourself with different types of entertainment lasting throughout the afternoon.”
