HAIR COLORIST TO THE STARS MICHAEL BOYCHUCK ANTICIPATES SPRING’S HOTTEST BEAUTY TRENDS

Michael Boychuck, Las Vegas’ leading beauty expert and owner of the city’s trendiest salons, gives insight to what is anticipated to be the most sought-after hair trends this spring.

“This spring is going to be all about color,” says Boychuck. “Traditionally, women lighten up their locks with highlights, but this year we’ll see hair accented with a pop of color.”

From amethyst to orange and pink shades, ladies will add a few of these colorful streaks toward the front section of their hair giving an understated peek-a-boo effect which gives hair a fun edge.

For the women who have reservations about coloring their hair with an eccentric hue, not to worry, there are colored hair extensions that can be used to achieve this look.

Aside from the season’s hot color trends, styled hair will be on the rise.

“Ponytails will be huge this season because they are a very flexible look,” says the hair extraordinaire. “Tousled, sleek, side-swept, you name it – the ponytail can be modified to make for a stunning hair style on the red carpet, or simple everyday look.”

A new trend that will not go unnoticed is the looped-ponytail. A sort of cross between a traditional bun and ponytail will be a very chic, sophisticated style. The easy-to-do look can be achieved by gathering hair into a low pony, but instead of pulling hair all the way through the elastic, form a loop and let a few inches of ends of the hair hanging to wrap around the base.

In conjunction with the looped-ponytail trend is the classic top knot. A popular trend among celebs and runway shows, this look does not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

“The topknot can be worn sleek and stylish, or loose and messy,” said Boychuck. “It’s a versatile look that always turns heads.”
