Real estate tech company raising awareness for housing resources available to Veterans
The tech-based real estate company, Homie will host a homeownership resources webinar for Veterans on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. PST. The virtual event will feature representatives from a variety of relevant agencies in the states Homie serves, including Nevada Partners, Valley of the Sun United Way, and Administration of Resources and Choices of Arizona. Participants will learn about housing resources available to Veterans including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) lending program, state homebuyer’s assistance funds, local housing counseling agencies, and more.
Speakers will include Nevada State Senator, Pat Spearman; Homie Nevada Buyer Agent and Air Force Veteran, Niecy Walker; Homie Nevada Buyer Agent and Navy Veteran, Donta Tanner; and other Homie Veterans. The webinar aims to raise awareness for housing resources available to Veterans and help them achieve homeownership, gain homeless assistance resources, and prevent foreclosure. Viewers will also be able to submit questions for speakers to address.
