With Patients Facing Emergency Blood Shortage, Every Donation Counts
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa invites the community to its upcoming Vitalant blood drive on Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom. With patients facing an emergency blood shortage, every donation counts.
Donors during the weekend drive will receive one 50% off voucher to the Market Place Buffet at Rampart Casino.
- Blood, platelet and plasma donors are critically needed now to help patients during an ongoing blood shortage.
- Blood donors are needed to replenish blood supplies following the Labor Day holiday week, a timeframe when donations plummet by as much as 25%.
- Donors of all blood types are needed, especially type O, the universal donor.
- O-negative can be used universally to help patients of any blood type.
- O-positive can be used for any patient with a positive blood type
- Giving blood is vital to ensuring an adequate supply is ready to help save lives every day, and when a natural or manmade disaster strikes.
Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online using code “L1973” at vitalant.org or by calling 877-25-VITAL. Walk-ins are always welcomed and encouraged.
