ROCK ‘N’ RUN 5K HOSTED BY LIFE BY MUSIC MAY 14
Las Vegas-based musician and organization founder encourages community to lace up and support youth music education
WHO:
Local nonprofit organization Life By Music, founded by guitarist Ryan Patrick of popular rock band OTHERWISE, focuses on creating awareness of the positive impact the arts have on the emotional, mental, and social development of youth.
“Last year the Rock ’N’ Run raised $10,000 and with those funds we donated more than 100 guitars to a dozen different high school and middle schools in Clark County,” said Patrick. “This year, we are fundraising to further develop online courses that complement our in-person instrument donations and music experiences, along with launching a veteran’s outreach songwriting program.”
WHAT:
Tie up those running shoes and get your heartbeat racing for Life By Music’s second annual Rock ‘N’ Run 5K at Sunset Park. Register now and participate in the race virtually or in-person.
Race participants are also welcome to “An Evening Concert on the Green feat. OTHERWISE and Friends” at the Las Vegas Golf Center. All ages are welcome to the evening concert.
This year on Sunday May 15, Life by Music added the first-ever Rock ‘N’ Swing Charity Golf Tournament at The Las Vegas Golf Center. Party, lunch and golf with rockers included.
COST:
Registration for the 5k is $60 and includes a t-shirt, swag bag, and entry into the evening concert.* Sponsorship packages are also available starting at $500. To sign up or to make a donation, visit www.lifebymusic.org.
