LAS VEGAS DESERT DOGS INAUGURAL OPENING NIGHT FESTIVITIES TO INCLUDE TEAM OWNERS, KÀ BY CIRQUE DU SOLEIL HALFTIME PERFORMANCE, AND A NATIONAL TELEVISION AUDIENCE ON ESPN2
Fans Are Encouraged to Arrive at Michelob ULTRA Arena by 7:10 P.M. Friday, December 16
for Opening Ceremonies
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs today announced festivities surrounding their first-ever home game taking place this Friday night, December 16 at Michelob ULTRA Arena against Panther City Lacrosse Club. Team owners, Wayne Gretzky, Steve Nash, and Joe Tsai are expected to be in attendance and prominent in the night’s activities. The team is opening doors at 6 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early to the arena with Opening Ceremonies scheduled to begin at 7:10 p.m. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 and streamed on ESPN+.
Fans in attendance will be treated to a special Halftime performance from the gravity-defying production KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, currently performing at MGM Grand Las Vegas. This special performance will feature a mind-blowing acrobatic act.
Lorena Peril, national recording artist and star of FANTASY, the long-running Las Vegas entertainment show, will perform the national anthem prior to the historic game. Peril, known for being one of The Strip’s most popular national anthem singers, will add the Desert Dogs to her impressive resume of performances.
“Opening Night this Friday night will be a spectacle, one that you can only expect in Las Vegas, the world’s greatest arena,” said Mark Fine, Las Vegas Desert Dogs Chief Executive Officer. “After 18 months of development, our on-field and business teams are excited to finally begin playing at our home in Las Vegas. We encourage fans to arrive in their seats by 7:10 p.m. for very special pre-game ceremonies that we are certain fans will always remember.”
Fans will also get their first peek at The Nacho Daddy DOGHOUSE, located in one of the endzone’s at Michelob ULTRA Arena. The Nacho Daddy DOGHOUSE will be a party zone featuring bar-style food, drinks and furniture with a view from the glass.
