The 14th Annual Ditka & Jaws Cigar Party is coming to Sin City on Thursday, February 8, right before Super Bowl Sunday. The event features more than 250 former and current NFL players and is being hosted by Ron Jaworski, the famed former quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher, the star defender who played for the Chicago Bears. The event goes from 8 p.m. to midnight, and includes not only premium cigars but spirits, appetizers, live music, and a silent auction.
The smoky, fun evening is all for a good cause, benefitting Jaws Youth Playbook and The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund. Jaws Youth Playbook is designed to improve the overall health and wellness of at-risk youth, primarily in the Greater Philadelphia Region. The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund’s mission is to assist retired NFL players in need, giving them medical and financial assistance and more.

Lunar New Year Celebration at M Resort
Saturday, February 10 at 6 p.m.
M Resort will ring in the Chinese New Year with traditional dances and decorations. Locals and tourists are invited to the Henderson casino for a Chinese lion and dragon dance performance. The show will feature a 63-foot dragon, as well as three adult lion and three baby lion props operated by dancers from the Lohan School of Shaolin. The dance will begin in the M Resort main lobby with a lion feeding of lettuce from M Resort’s Executives, followed by additional lion feedings and a ceremonial eye dotting. The dragon and lion show will also feature a Buddha and musicians playing cymbals, a gong, and a drum to chase away evil spirits. It will then continue through the casino floor, VIP gaming areas and Raiders Tavern before concluding back at the main lobby. Dennis Edwards joined The Temptations in 1968, replacing David Ruffin, the former superstar lead singer of The Temptations. Dennis is the “voice” on top 40 Billboard hit singles such as “Psychedelic Shack,” “Papa was a Rolling Stone” (1972), “Ball of Confusion” (1970), “I Can’t Get Next To You” (1969), “Shakey Ground” (1975), “Runaway Child Running Wild,” “Cloud Nine” (1968), and more. This group of original singers were personally chosen by Dennis Edwards to continue the authentic music and choreography of The Temptations and toured with him until his passing in 2018. This group also performs The Temptations’ Classic Hits “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Beauty’s Only Skin Deep,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” “Wish That It Would Rain,” and more.
