MORIYAMA, JARVIS TO TEE OFF IN PGA, AMATEUR EVENTS THIS WEEK

UNLV men’s golf senior Yuki Moriyama and sophomore Aaron Jarvis will tee off across two different time zones this week in a pair of Amateur and PGA Tour events, respectively.
Originally from Kanagawa, Japan, Moriyama will play in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship at Amata Spring Country Club (Par 72 – 7,502 yards) in Chonburi, Thailand, starting Wednesday, Oct. 26. Jarvis, who is competing as an amateur, will open play Thursday, Oct. 27, in the PGA Tour’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship at the Port Royal Golf Course (Par 71 – 6,828 yards) in Southampton Parish, Bermuda.
THE ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP
SCHEDULE: Moriyama will begin the first round on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 4:30 p.m. PT, followed by the second round Thursday, Oct. 27, at 4:41 p.m. PT.
FORMAT: There will be a 72-holes, stroke play format with a cut for the leading 50 players plus ties after 36 holes. The winner of the Asia-Pacific Amateur tournament will receive an invitation to compete in the 2023 Masters Tournament, along with exemptions into the 151st Open Championship and 128th Amateur Championship. TV COVERAGE: The tournament will be broadcast via ESPN2 or ESPN+ and simulcast on AACgolf.com for three hours each day. The first two rounds will air on ESPN2 and AACgolf.com from 12 a.m.-3 a.m. PT on Thursday and Friday. The third round (ESPN2) and fourth round (ESPN+) are slated to be simulcast across platforms from 10 p.m-1 a.m. PT on Friday and Saturday. THE BUTTERFIELD BERMUDA CHAMPIONSHIP
SCHEDULE: Jarvis will tee off in the first round Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 a.m. PT. He then will begin the second round on Friday, Oct. 28, at 10:10 a.m. PT.
TV COVERAGE: All four rounds of the Bermuda Championship will be broadcast via the Golf Channel Thursday-Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. PT.
RADIO COVERAGE: The tournament is also being broadcast via radio on PGA Tour Radio on SirusXM and at PGATour.com/liveaudio.
