On-Demand Ice Cream Scream Truck Launches in Las Vegas This Summer

Scream Truck

Scream Truck, the New Jersey-based startup that reinvented the ice cream truck experience, is officially rolling into Las Vegas and Henderson this summer. The tech-driven mobile ice cream company has built a loyal following since its launch in 2021, and Las Vegas Valley residents will soon be able to experience it for themselves.

Designed for the digital age, Scream Truck delivers soft-serve cones, sundaes and shakes directly to neighborhoods using a pre-planned, on-demand model. Registered users receive a text notification when a truck is scheduled to visit their area, allowing them to reserve a stop at their house and pre-order their treats. The truck then creates optimized routes to serve as many customers as possible quickly and efficiently.

Scream Truck’s menu features premium soft-serve ice cream, Ghirardelli sauces, artisanal waffle cones from The Konery, name-brand topping favorites, and delicious non-dairy options. With exceptional customer service, a booming sound system playing family-friendly soundtracks, and two customizable 4K LED screens, Scream Truck has become a neighborhood favorite across New Jersey.

The expansion is led by Ironbound Projects, a Las Vegas-based company founded by former Tao Group partner and local entrepreneur Louis Abin, in partnership with John Sumas, CEO of Village Supermarkets and an early supporter of Scream Truck.Together, they plan to launch 10-15 trucks across the Las Vegas Valley by the end of 2026.

“I first heard about Scream Truck from my business partner, John Sumas, who lives in Westfield, New Jersey, where the first truck launched,” said Ironbound Projects Founder & CEO Louis Abin. “I loved the concept and flew out to New Jersey to see it in action. I knew immediately that Scream Truck would be a huge hit in Vegas.”

“Las Vegas will no doubt be an explosive market for Scream Truck,” said Scream Truck Founder & CEO Eric Murphy. “The population density creates the ideal landscape for our reserved routes, and operating in the biggest entertainment and hospitality market in the country will be a boon to Scream Truck’s high volume event business.”

As part of the expansion, Ironbound Projects has also made an investment in Scream Experiences, Inc., the parent company of Scream Truck. Both Abin and Sumas will serve as advisors as the company continues to grow.

About Scream Truck

Now boasting 17 premium, on-demand ice cream trucks, Scream Truck launched in 2021 and has amassed over 100,000 registered users across 175 towns in northern New Jersey, all without spending a dime on advertising or marketing. The business is driven by a proprietary software platform called Implse, which uses text messaging to notify registered customers when Scream Truck will be in their neighborhood. Simply replying “Y” (for yes!) reserves a stop at a customer’s house within the specified hour window. Everyone pre-orders and pre-pays, and a sleek iOS app efficiently routes drivers to each stop. Orders are prepared fresh right outside the customer’s home. Implse also manages real-time customer communications during reserved routes and provides a super quick and easy way to book events online that dynamically populate the daily schedules for each truck. Scream Truck’s longer-term goal is to offer additional food and beverage concepts to its growing customer base using the same notify/on-demand delivery concept. The brand will also be licensing the software to other select food trucks.
