FOR BEST IMMERSIVE LIVE EXPERIENCE 

Themed Entertainment Association Awards Recognize World’s Top Experiences

 

“Particle Ink: Speed of Dark,” the otherworldly, immersive experience whose limited engagement in Downtown Las Vegas has been extended three times and final performance takes place Dec. 4, announces it has received the prestigious 2022 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Immersive Live Experience category. Designated by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) at this year’s International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo in Orlando, Florida, Particle Ink joins 20 of the world’s top attractions and experiences receiving Thea Awards, including experiences at Walt Disney World in Orlando and Universal Studios Beijing.

The distinguished TEA Thea Award is considered one of the greatest honors in the themed experience industry. The Thea Awards honor individuals, projects and technologies in the arena of themed attractions and experiences worldwide for their innovative work and expertise in storytelling, design and more.

“We created the Particle Ink experience to push the boundaries of art, technology and theatricality,” said Jennifer Tuft, co-chief executive officer, Kaleidoco. “As we conclude our run in Las Vegas this December, we are thrilled to be recognized not only by the Themed Entertainment Association but also by our wonderful fans who helped us extend the show three times.”

Revealing a rupture in the Particle Ink Metaverse, where the virtual world blends into the physical world, “Speed of Dark” invites visitors to explore an abandoned warehouse that contains a portal into the 2.5th dimension. A place of pure magick and captivating performance, “Speed of Dark” offers every visitor an opportunity for personal, intimate interactive exploration.

“Particle Ink: Speed of Dark” is currently on view in the Las Vegas Arts District through Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022. Each “Speed of Dark” experience lasts approximately one hour and takes place Thursdays through Sundays at 7 and 9 p.m. and Mondays at 7 p.m. inside The LightHouse, located at 918 S. Main Street.
