Luck of the Irish with 2-1 Beers, Twists on Traditional Irish Fare
St. Patrick’s Day Also Marks First Day of College Hoops Tournament
PT’s Wings & Sports at The STRAT Hotel, Casino & SkyPod will bring the luck of the Irish to college hoops with traditional Irish fare and two-for-one beers on St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17. The 24-hour STRAT Café and Crafted Buffet will also serve Irish dishes to celebrate the day. PT’s Wings & Sports replaces BLVD & MAIN Taphouse on Sunday, March 15.
Irish dishes with a twist at PT’s Wings & Sports, prepared by Chef Johannes Bernau, will include a charred cabbage wedge salad made with smoked applewood bacon, blue cheese, shaved red onions and tomatoes, priced at $8; an Irish Rueben, made with corned beef, shredded cabbage, whole grain mustard and Swiss cheese on marbled rye bread, priced at $14; and a Shepherd’s pizza pie prepared with minced meat, carrots, onion, celery, peas, mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese, priced at $22. Also on the St. Patrick’s Day menu is tipsy pudding, a whiskey bread pudding with Irish cream, priced at $8. The tap house will also offer two-for-one of any of its brews on tap.
Just steps away from the new William Hill Sports Book, PT’s Wings & Sports will be a prime spot to take in college hoops action with a betting ticker that will be added to the 10’ x 28’ LED wall and 11’ x 25’ LED screen behind the bar, as well as 10 HDTVs throughout the restaurant and bar. Two additional betting stations will be available for use. The Irish menu and full menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 702.380.7777.
The 24/7 STRAT Café will offer a St. Patrick’s Day specialty menu from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with traditional Irish dishes including Irish cheddar cheese soup, priced at $6; corned beef and cabbage, prepared with slow roasted corn beef, braised cabbage, red potatoes, sautéed baby carrots and creamy mustard sauce, priced at $14; and for dessert, Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake, priced at $6. STRAT Café’s full menu will also be available.
St. Patrick’s Day classics at Crafted Buffet will include carved corned beef brisket, roasted turkey, glazed ham, corned beef hash, braised cabbage, oven roasted red potatoes, Guinness stew, Shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, rice pilaf, vegetable ratatouille and broccoli farfalle. Priced at $23.99 for adults and $12.99 for children, dinner will be available from 4 to 10 p.m.
