The UNLV men’s basketball team will be back in the Thomas & Mack Center this Saturday, February 8 as it hosts Fresno State at 5 p.m.

It will be Kids Day with kids 12 and under being given a free stuffed lion courtesy of the Lions Burn Care Center at UMC. A Family 4 Pack is also available for Saturday’s game starting at just $79 (includes four hats, four meals and four tickets) when purchased at least a day in advance at UNLVtickets.com.

The Runnin’ Rebels, who have won six of their last seven home games, have lost four straight contests overall and are coming off a two-game road trip (at CSU, at Utah State).

Sophomore guard Bryce Hamilton and junior guard Amauri Hardy lead the Runnin’ Rebels (11-13, 6-5) in scoring, averaging 14.8 and 13.9 points per game, respectively. Hamilton has scored in double figures in 11 straight games and has tallied 26 or more in four of his last five outings. Junior forward Mbacke Diong is the team’s leading rebounder with 8.5 per contest (4th in MW). UNLV is under new leadership this year in head coach T.J. Otzelberger.

Fresno State (8-15, 4-8) is in its second season under its head coach, Justin Hutson. The Bulldogs are led in scoring and rebounding by Nate Grimes’ 12.7 ppg and 9.8 rpg.

UNLV won the season’s first meeting, 81-80, in double overtime in Fresno on Dec. 4.

Saturday’s game will be televised by ESPNU with Steve Quis and Corey Williams calling the action. Jon Sandler, former Runnin’ Rebel Curtis Terry and Steve Cofield (sideline reporter) will handle the UNLV radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 in Las Vegas and online via the UNLVGameday App and TuneIn.
