Skye Canyon Supports Assistance League of Las Vegas with Operation School Bell – Back to School Supply Drive from July 10-17
Equipping children with the right school supplies is crucial for their educational journey. Extensive research demonstrates the profound impact of appropriate school materials on various aspects of a child’s academic experience. From enhancing grades and fostering creativity to shaping positive attitudes towards learning, improved behavior, and strengthened self-image, the right supplies can truly be a catalyst for success in school.
Students in Clark County need school supplies for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. Skye Canyon is inviting residents and the public to help students in this community by donating to its Back-to-School Supply Drive, benefiting Assistance League Las Vegas’ Operation School Bell.
Supplies needed include backpacks, 1”–2” binders, black and blue ink pens, composition books, colored pencils, highlighters, crayons, notebooks, erasers, wide and college ruled paper, glue sticks, 2-pocket folders, and more.
Throughout the week of July 10 – 17, 2023, the community is encouraged to drop off items at any number of locations including Skye Center, Skye Fitness, and Aspire Coffee House, located inside of Skye Center. Drop-off locations within Skye Marketplace include Chase Bank, Smith’s Marketplace, and Club Pilates.
In the 2022 Back-to-School Supply Drive, the community showed its support by donating over 1,200 school supply items valued at $2,500 to Operation School Bell. Adding to that, Skye Canyon donated $2,000 in new backpacks and school supplies. Ultimately, enough school supply essentials were donated to fill 350 backpacks.
This year, as part of its Skye Serves program, Skye Canyon will once again match all donations made up to $2,000. All donations will be delivered to Operation School Bell, a philanthropic program of the Assistance League of Las Vegas. Operation School Bell provides new clothes, school supplies, and hygiene kits to students at the Clark County School District.
