SOUTH POINT ARENA AND EQUESTRIAN TO HOST WEST COAST REGIONAL FINALS RODEO, MAY 12 – 13

South Point Arena and Equestrian Center is thrilled to welcome back the West Coast Regional Finals Rodeo, hosted by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) rodeo team and hall of fame coach Ric Griffith on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13.
“We are excited to host the West’s elite collegiate athletes at South Point’s state-of-the-art equestrian center,” stated Ric Griffith, coach of the UNLV rodeo team. “Witnessing these athletes determination and talent is truly astonishing. Bring the family out to see the rodeo live in your backyard.”
The rodeo will feature the top collegiate athletes from the West Coast region, including Feather River College, California State University-Fresno, West Hills College, Cal Poly State University-San Luis Obispo, Cuesta College and UNLV.
“UNLV has one of the best rodeo programs in the nation,” said Steve Stallworth, general manager of General Manager of the Arena & Equestrian Center at South Point Hotel & Casino. “The program has been generously supported by the Gaughan family — specifically from the direction and affection of Mrs. Paula Gaughan. It is because of her passion and dedication to this sport that South Point Equestrian Center was built, and the West Coast Regional Finals Rodeo are now held in Las Vegas. ”
Tickets can be purchased separately for each night for $15 or both Friday and Saturday events for $25 and can be purchased online here. Children 3 and under receive free admission.
