South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa, also known as Vegas Cowboy Central, will welcome the 2023 National Finals Rodeo (NFR) back to the property. The week will be filled with special guests, entertainment and more.
EVENTS
Miss Rodeo Official Contestant Introductions- Sunday, Dec. 3
Attendees will have the chance to hear from the Miss Rodeo contestants in the Showroom. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the event will begin at 10 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Miss Rodeo America Pageant Cowgirl Kickoff – Monday, Dec. 4
South Point Showroom will be welcoming the Miss Rodeo contestants to the property. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
16th Annual Wrangler Gold Buckle Gala- Monday, Dec. 4
The annual gala will be held in the Grand Ballroom. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased here.
Cinch Western Gift Show—Tuesday, Dec. 5—Sunday, Dec. 17
The Cinch Western Gift Show kicks off in the Exhibit Halls on Tuesday, Dec. 5 and is open from 9 a.m.—6 p.m. daily though Dec. 17, 2023. This event is free and open to the public.
Miss Rodeo American Horseman Competition—Tuesday, Dec. 5
Miss Rodeo America contestants will participate in the American Horsemanship competition in the Arena. This event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. and the competition will begin at 8 a.m.
National Finals Breakaway Roping—Tuesday, Dec. 5—Wednesday, Dec. 6
The National Finals Breakaway Roping two-day event will begin daily at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $30 can be purchased here.
PRCA “Road to the Gold Buckle”—Tuesday, Dec. 5
The world’s top competitors will walk the iconic Gold Carpet known as the “Road to the Gold Buckle,” leading up to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s (PRCA) welcome reception. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
Miss Rodeo America Interview and Speeches—Wednesday, Dec. 6
Miss Rodeo America contestant interviews will begin at 8 a.m. in the Showroom. Tickets are available at the box office for $52 each.
CINCH Kick Off Party—Wednesday, Dec. 6
South Point Showroom will host an NFR Kick Off Party starting at 10 p.m. – midnight. The party is free to those 21+ and open to the public. Texas Unlimited Band will be the official headliner of the night. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Miss Rodeo America Pageant- PRCA Luncheon & Silent Auction—Thursday, Dec. 7
South Point will host a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association luncheon and silent auction. Guests will have a chance to win multiple prizes. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and tickets are $95.
PRCA National Convention Contact Personnel Trade Show—Thursday, Dec. 7
This event is free and open to the public. Guests can visit the South Point Exhibit Hall from 9 a.m.—11 a.m.
2023 Benny Binion’s World Famous Bucking Horse & Bull Sale—Thursday, Dec. 7
Doors open at 8 a.m. and the event is held in the Arena. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
World Futurity Bronc Finale—Friday, Dec. 8
The World Futurity Bronc Finale will take place in the Arena. Doors open at 10 a.m. and tickets can be purchased here for $25.
Miss Rodeo America Pageant- Fashion Show—Friday, Dec. 8
Come out and support the Miss Rodeo America contestants as they put on a fashion show. The fashion show will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Ballroom. Tickets start at $115.
World Series of Team Roping—Saturday, Dec. 9—Sunday, Dec. 17
The World Series of Team Roping will take place in the Arena beginning at 8 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Miss Rodeo America- Coronation—Sunday, Dec. 10
Help welcome the 2021-2022 Miss Rodeo America! The coronation will be at 10:30 a.m. and in the Ballroom. Tickets are $105 and can be purchased in the box office.
GAMING PROMOTIONS
To celebrate the 64th annual National Finals Rodeo, South Point is giving away commemorative bottles of City Lights Moonshine. From December 1—23, earn 700 same day base slot points on video reels or 2000 points on video poker between 3 a.m. and midnight and receive a commemorative bottle of City Lights Shine Moonshine. Players can earn 1 bottle per day and choose from three fabulous flavors. Complete rules are posted at THE CLUB. $1 coin-in = 1 point.
DINING SPECIALS
Don Vito’s will transform into Don Vito’s Steak House on December 5 and will remain as such until December 16. Don Vito’s will be open from 4 – 10 p.m. daily and will feature the full Silverado Steak House menu in addition to six select Don Vito’s entrées. Silverado Steak House will only serve the Silverado menu.
HOTEL SHUTTLE ACCOMMODATIONS
Throughout NFR, South Point will offer a free shuttle to and from the Thomas & Mack Center. The shuttle drop-off and pick-up is located at the South Point Valet and is available on a first come, first serve seating basis. The pre-event shuttle will run from 4 – 6 p.m. and the post-event shuttle will run from 9 – 10:30 p.m.
ENTERTAINMENT
Guests can enjoy live entertainment in the South Point Showroom. All the events throughout NFR are free and open to the public.
The Showroom and Grandview Lounge will host NFR Viewing Parties that will take place daily from 5 to 8 p.m.
WNFR Go Around Buckle Ceremony—Thursday, Dec. 7—Friday, Dec. 15
Following the day’s competitions, the Showroom will host the official NFR Buckle ceremonies nightly beginning at 9:30 p.m. The buckle presentations are free and open to the public.
Aaron Watson

Country music star, Aaron Watson, will take the Showroom stage and perform original country hits. The American country music star has been active since 1999 and made history in 2015. Watson became the first independent male artist to debut on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. He self-released and independently distributed and promoted his album “The Underdog.”
Chancey Williams
Dec. 11—12

Chancey Williams is most known for his hit song, “Rodeo Cold Beer” released in 2017. He is an American country music singer, songwriter and former saddle bronc rider. His most recent single, “Blame It On The Rain,” was just released on November 12. Williams is sure to bring the energy to the Showroom!
Randall King
Dec. 13—14
11 p.m. –12:30 a.m.
Randall King is a country singer and songwriter born and raised on the West Texas plains. King is known for his own unique blend of Country and Southern Rock and his classic hit, “Mirror Mirror.” King was just included in Pandora Music’s “Artists to Watch 2022: Country”. The country star will end the week of the 2021 Wrangler NFR with an outstanding performance featuring all his top songs.
