TACOS & TEQUILA PARTICIPATES IN RESTAURANT WEEK TO
BENEFIT THREE SQUARE FOOD BANK
Las Vegas Restaurant Week™ is back, with not just one, but two weeks of culinary creations from Aug. 29 – Sept. 11, and Tacos & Tequila has developed a delectable menu to help benefit Three Square Food Bank™.
The menu provides guests with two different dining options, the first, which is only available at lunch, is priced at only $20.11 and features three courses. Guests can start with the appetizer course and choose from T&T’s homemade guacamole, a chopped or Caesar salad or tortilla soup. The second course features T&T’s popular new summer menu items; featuring a choice of a half torta sandwich (chicken, carnitas or carne asada), the Sonoran hotdog, a delicious hotdog wrapped in smoked bacon and topped with beans, pico de gallo, onions and jalapeños or the matador burger, cooked to order and topped with a three-cheese blend of Oaxaca, Jack, and Gouda cheeses, caramelized onions and mushrooms, lettuce, pico de gallo and finished with homemade guacamole. For dessert, T&T will offer guests the choice of its tres leches cake, flan or morenita chocolate brownie.
Patrons can also partake in menu number two, available for lunch and dinner, priced at $30.11 and also features three courses. Named one of the best tequila bars of 2011 in America by USA Today, Tacos & Tequila embodies the cool modernism of Mexico City while incorporating traditional elements of Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. The color mixture of old and new creates a vivid picture of brushed aluminum, dark wood, leather, bright fabrics and colored glass. The focal point of T&T’s design is its abstract sombrero composed of 20 brushed-aluminum panels featuring thousands of laser-cut images, including two 30-foot dancing, tequila-drinking skeletons. Lit from within, the breathtaking panels stretch across the entire length of the restaurant floor and across the common area, connecting the T&T retail store and walk-up daiquiri bar.
The highly-stylized Mexican restaurant and bar with a fun, high-energy vibe and flavorful menu is located at Luxor Hotel and Casino, open daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. The 8,000-square-foot venue embodies Mexican culture, with a flavorful menu created for Drive This Entertainment! by the talents of world-renowned restaurateur and chef, Richard Sandoval. About Restaurant Week
Now in its fifth year, Las Vegas Restaurant Week gives restaurants in our community the opportunity to give back through the culinary arts. What began in 2007 as the vision of MGM Grand food and beverage executives David McIntyre and Scott Hamilton as a way to raise funds and awareness about Three Square Food Bank has now become one of the most anticipated weeks of the year. We are proud to report that since 2007 over 600,000 meals have been provided for those in need. All proceeds from Restaurant Week remain in Las Vegas and help Three Square in its fight to end hunger in Southern Nevada. Participating restaurants create menus for breakfast, lunch or dinner and select a donation of $4, $5, or $6 for each meal sold.
