TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY UPON REOPENING
The resort’s Giving Module features three new charitable beneficiaries for the slot ticket voucher program
In the wake of reopening its doors to the public, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas remains steadfast in its charitable initiatives with the introduction of three new charitable beneficiaries for its Giving Module program. Now live, guests of The Cosmopolitan have the option to donate to The Folded Flag Foundation, HopeLink and Las Vegas Rescue Mission when redeeming ticket vouchers on the casino floor.
The first of its kind on the Las Vegas Strip, The Cosmopolitan debuted its pioneering Giving Module in July 2019. The property’s charitable platform has garnered more than $37,000 through 172,695 donation transactions since its debut. In further support of the selected charities, The Cosmopolitan maintains its pledge to match up to $10,000 of all donations each quarter.
When guests generously choose to donate through the Module, the donation is then distributed to the selected charities. If guests choose not to donate, they will receive their slot earnings directly at the kiosk. In the past year, the average donation per individual was $0.21, with 12 percent of guests opting in to donate.
The Cosmopolitan remains dedicated in its mission to serve the local community through special care and focus to the veteran and active military community, diversity, learning and student enrichment. The Cosmopolitan’s culmination of efforts produced upwards of $1.7 million in monetary donations in 2019 and scored 100 percent on Human Rights Campaign “Best Places to Work” for its eighth consecutive year in 2020. Following insurmountable support from guests and the community, the resort is looking ahead through 2020, building a list of beneficiaries that highlight local first responders, diversity advocates and inclusion activists.
