The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas prides itself on its charitable giving efforts throughout the last decade, with a special dedication and focus on learning and student enrichment, food and hunger relief, diversity and inclusion, military and veteran support, first responders and accessible art. As the first resort to launch the EveriCares Giving Module two years ago, which provides guests the opportunity to donate a portion of their slot winnings to a list of select charitable organizations, the program has garnered upwards of $100,000 in total donations to benefit 32 charities.

With National Nonprofit Day approaching on Tuesday, Aug. 17, the resort is thrilled to announce July as a record-breaking month in donations, with $8,226.76 donated to several local nonprofits including Hope For The City, Clark County Public Education Foundation, Parent Citywide African American Educational Focus Group, U.S. VETS – Las Vegas, Refuge for Women, Disabled American Veterans, Epicurean Charitable Foundation and The Just One Project. One hundred percent of donations collected go directly to each respective charity, with the resort matching up to $10,000 each quarter. To date, The Cosmopolitan has made more than $55,000 in matched donation payments. Charities interested in becoming a recipient of the resort’s Giving Module program can reach out to [email protected] for consideration.

“We are thrilled to see such eagerness from both our guests and the community to join us in our efforts to support local nonprofits through the Giving Module program,” said The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Chief People Officer, Daniel Espino. “Charitable giving is a vital component of The Cosmopolitan’s ethos; it is in our DNA. While the Giving Module is just one of several pillars of the resort’s steadfast efforts, it has proven to be a true testament to the willingness among others to join us in giving back.”

For more than a decade, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has committed more than $5.6 million in donations to benefit 540+ charitable organizations. The resort’s dedication to each charitable pillar continues to shine through several additional initiatives such as the Supporting Our Veterans program, which has employed 801 veterans since opening in 2010. In recent months, The Cosmopolitan hosted Las Vegas’ first annual Juneteenth Jubilee in partnership with NAACP Las Vegas through the ongoing initiatives of the resort’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council. The Cosmopolitan has also received a 100 percent perfect scoring on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index eight consecutive years in a row (2012-2020).
